By combining my old Telecom landline with my old Vodafone broadband connection into one of vodafone's combo packages, I save $10 per month, get 5x more bandwidth AND get a free MySky box...Even my old CRT TV seems to produce a better picture. It also produces stereo sound on more channels via the 5.1 system...

There must be a catch here somewhere...I'm still waiting for the hidden hook to show up...not that I'm paranoid or anything you unnerstand...

Good saving, and ooooh you almost sucked me in with an impulse spent.

But fuck it i spend $90 with Voda per month as it is, and i never use my phone WTF does it cost $45 just to have a phone connected?????? Anyway add all that on and $280 per month just to answer the phone, surf porn, and watch shows about sharks, serial killers and nazis.

Wish I was rich auw.

$300 hundy ?!?!?!??!?!?

Voda do home phone + 30Gb for a hundy per month..... Or $65 for 30GB naked if you have an "on-plan" mobile.

You must be on da super unlimited fibre optic glass upside down fork connection!

Yeah - $90.00 per month. Home phone and 10Gb of bandwidth and the free MySky.
It's called the "Ideal" package. It's the cheapest that gives you the MySky.
I used to have only 2Gb on the old plan for $40.00 per month. Dunno what I'll do with all the extra - maybe hafta download more porn movies or summat...

Isnt the catch that if you want to actually watch Skytv content it'll be at least another $52.69 per month for the basic package (doesnt include sports or movies) :shit:

Not according to vodafone - I did ask them that. They said it all stays the same. I already have sky. But vodafone do take over the sky subscription themselves. Must be some kickback between the two...

Yeah well I have been a sky subscriber for eons so it makes no difference to my sky charges. I made very sure of that before I signed up. And since I don't have a High def TV the $9.99 per month charge for that service does not apply either. Like I said in the OP, I get the MySky box for free.

No hidden fish hooks in there SloFox, I've had the package for a while now, went for the 30gb package for $100 as for the extra $10 you get higher upload speed as well as the extra 20gb. Shame Sky do dumb arse things like delaying Phillip Island coverage until midnight though.

Next thing I'll want an HD TV...oh and an upgrade to the sound system so's it takes the 5.1 feed...current one won't do that buggrit...

Mind you, I am enjoying the fact that heaps moire channels now come with stereo sound...

Yep. $99.00...six month's rental in fact...plus a bit.

I came close to cancelling the install when I found out about that bit, but by then it was all under way so I just decided to bite the bullet...

I am considering this plan, as we are moving away from our current Cable internet location :crybaby:

I have read a few people complaining about the slow internet speeds and disconnects with Vodafone, anyone here having those problems?
