Can you keep up on the (freeflowing) motorway on one of these?

Easily. As long as its not blowing a gale against you. I had one of these for a while and it cruises at 110-120km/h quite happily.

They're all sweet for the main road. My old Fixxer did many trips. Just avoid overtaking.

Yep the little FXR's have enough grunt to handle the motorway... as mentioned about it reaches 120kph without too much effort.

Too be honest, I can run faster than a FXR150... Well almost!

Na, they are great bikes for comuting and having a bit of fun and are more than capable of keeping up with the traffic.

i fell in love with them for a while now hate the things, they are just to damn small (literally) you'd have to be a midget to ride one! i'm looking at a honda vt250fg that has had a brand new engine put it in, and is basically a brand new bike, for $2000 what do you think, should i get it?

My ex-flatmate got my old FXR (Now my partners FXR) up to 130kph with me on the back... doesn't feel right going that fast on a FXR...

Of course you all know that the speedo's are hard wired to read 7km/h faster than what you're actually doing ;)

I've seen these things on the motorway, so I guess they can keep up. Not sure if they can overtake though :D

Well that explains a LOT. When my partner and I first started riding together I'd always have to pull over and wait for her, and she was 100% sure she was going but still couldn't keep up with me...

*mubbles bad stuff about Suzuki's*

Oh yeah to the Fixxer owners
I've noticed that 95% of the time they don't wave back, I have more chance of getting a wave from a cruiser

RG150 reads a good 10-15kmh above actual speed... When i was "passing" Loosebruce when he was on his Gixxer his speedo was reading about 5-6kmh more than mine...

Rightio then, all fxr owners take note, if you bin yours real bad I might well be interested in taking the wreck off your hands. I want a grunty wee motor for my wee frankenstein bike

If you want a FXR in good working condition, my partner and I might be selling our FXR, but I can only confirm that next week.

It's 2002 FXR150 in the blue colour, less than 6000k's on the clock, had service and WOF in Feb.

Not what I had in mind, if it was less than 6000ks on the clock, just serviced and just cartwheeled down the road I 'd be your buyer.

What's wrong with your SR250? :spudwhat:
VT250 should be a good bike.

it's to slow and a vt250 is one of the faster 250 bikes, almost keeps up with the cbr's etc

Well I must of got one that they got a bit excided when they were doing the speedo, cos it was about 12kph out at 50kph. And sure enough it seams like you must really be going fast cos it read 147kph when I wound it right up.

Yeah the FXR's definatly have speedo issues, i had mine fixed a while ago and you can tell the difference, lol i kind of liked it when i thought i was going faster. Although, these bikes are fine on the motorway, you can cruise at about 120 and just give it a bit mroe gas to overtake, no worries.
