IMHO - Neither Go get an old 4stroke air cooled honda xr100, yamaha ttr125 or 2 stroke suzuki ds/jr80 or kx 60/kx65. You should be able to pick up an old one of them for the same price and will last longer and you will be able to get spares when you break bits (handle bars, foot pedals, break/clutch levers, etc) as you inevitably will.

Else it will be chuck it once something breaks. This maybe alright if that's the way you want to go. Could be good just to give the kids a taste and then when it does break go get something more reliable/able to stand up to the knocks of proper dirt biking.

These on tm are in you're price range

I can't say I have ever owned a pit bike but I have mates who have and wished they never bothered and bought an older jap bike in the first place. A jap bike you will be able to sell on for much the same price as you bought it for. In contrast the pit bike will break and won't be worth anything.

Would go near one as A&R stated spend yah money on something you can at least get your money back on that is less likely to break on the 1st outing and has spare you can get.

If you just want a pitbike, the Kawasaki KLX110 can make an awesome bike, there are so many go fast bits for them as well, sorry the pic is of a Suzuki DRZ110 same bike different colour.

since no one that has replied has actually had anything to do with the bikes Ill give you a first hand opinion from someone who actually knows what they are talking about, The pitster pros are built Strong, if you want to buy a pitbike they are the only ones to go for, The FMX is junk.

The x2 or X4r would be the go, you might have to spend another 500 or so but will definatly be worth it in the long run.
