Win or bin. I'm nervous for this but oh well. Will be fun. I will be there to enjoy the battling. Is it clockwise or the better anti-clockwise?

I am hoping for some Lorenzo Rossi style battles, especially on these high powered bikes :)
They might be doing both directions on the day, so it could be the best of both worlds.

Whats the deal with bringing a mate to have a crack over a a few sessions?
Is it all or nowt?
or can I chuck a mate out for a couple of trial sessions for cheaper?
Should I ask the Kart Club?

Pricing is totally controlled by the Kart Club.
We should have split A and B sessions as it's a points round.
If he has the right gear, can ride and is on a bike suitable for Kaitoke e.g. nyloned, I see no reason why he can't join in.
We do have a bucket only day in the plans for next month, this may be a better time for someone to 'have a go'.

Sadly no - it will be the Sled as you know it...though I know he has been tinkering but I think that was just about making it into a transformer so it can fit in our car....which it now does :) we are just minus one seat in the back now...just as well we weren't planning on breeding any further!!!

You might...but then you might not. Not yet committed to pulling my arse out of bed early so I can come along. Hey has that kids playground been built yet?
I guess if I come I could help flag saving some of the riders from having to do it...
Again not sure I want to get out of bed early and stand around down there all day....
Perhaps if I can bring along a flask of Margaritas that might help make the day pass a bit quicker

No playground for the small chaps yet but there is a big black playground with plenty of grip for the big kids to play on. Good to see the lad wanting to come and have a play.

Speak in hushed tones...you'll frighten him off.
As for the kiddies playground not being in yet...that makes my decision much easier to make...there will be just the one monster attending on the day :)
Enjoy everyone

I needn't have bothered cleaning Rangi cause he's all wet and dirty again now. Fuck it was wet out there...... but that's not what was giving me the shits, it was the gusts of wind that kept threatening to blow me and my teeny tiny little bike off the track, holy shite!
Anyway, besides that, I had a good day, came last in the races that matter, but seeing as there were only 4 B graders racing I still picked up enough points to squeak into 3rd place for the season :wings: ..... by one point, sorry Mark!
And I won the practice race.... due to some unfortunate events for the others who either didn't go when the lights went out/were still coming around to the start line; and then either fell off or didn't want to get a beating for sqeezing past me.:nya::scratch:
Congrats and well done to Caleb and Nigel for coming first and second in B grade and Hamish for being consistently good all season and taking out the coveted A grade win for the season! :wings: Was awesome to see some folk out enjoying themselves who we haven't seen for a while too ;)
So that was buckets for another season. Don't forget that there's the Twilight meeting (promise there won't be any vampires in sight:facepalm:) on the 13th of November (Great for those who can't seem to make it to the track by 9am!!:violin:) 12pm start, 6pm finish followed by BBQ and drinks at the clubrooms and also the Bucket Only Day in November..... I think the date is still to be confirmed properly, but should be a good one, one hour endurance race, etc.:woohoo:

No crashes so that was the main point of the day. Unfortunatly missed the point win by one point. The first point race I almost put a wet on the rear and thought it would clear. It didnt and Hamish passed me on the second to last corner. :gob: Good move Hamish. The second race was the first time with full wets. That was fantastic. No one came between Hamish and I so he won the points I won that race. Well done Hamish. The 20 laper at the end was hard out. Unfortunatly Hamish fell off.
Caleb had been unwell but came right for the day. I think he was very pleased with his results. The last 20 laper he was mixing it up with Adrian and Steven.
Thanks to the organisers.

I had a really fun day. It was very cool to experience what wets can do, even kind of stale ones like the ones I had. Was a bugger to see Rich crash as hard as he did, normally he rides very fast in the wet and gets away with it! Was also a bugger that you left your rear slick on for that first points race Andrew. I could see how much you were struggling whereas I wasn't sliding at all. 2nd points race I only needed a 2nd place so I just cruised around on the wets.
I wasn't as fast as I thought I might be for the fun race after the last points race so I wasn't even able to challenge Andrew and the 20 lapper was a mess for me. Lost the front going through the top corner at the start of the back straight but picked it straight back up and continued on in 2nd place. My left footpeg rattled itself loose (unrelated to crash) so I had to pull over.
I got home quickly and had a shower and got straight into bed. I feel horrible. Very sick and buckets today just made it worse. Damn buckets.

Congrats to everyone that rode today. I was optimistic that the weather was going to clear. Wrong. Was great to see Sully out there again. Well at least I managed to win a race before the big hi side. Hamish had the front row seat again. Thanks for not running me over. Feeling the pain now. Bike is feeling it to. no movies sorry to wet for my camera. Till next time.

woohoo looking forward to getting out in the dry one day. Maybe the 13th will be it!!
I lay awake dreaming about finishing my 100 this morning. Maybe I'll put it back on the bench for a while.
Then if the elves just do their thing on it, instead of being the lazy pack of wankers that they usually are. . .

Very much so.
Congrats to Caleb and Hamish. You guys deserve the wins with the racing you've done this year.
Must remember; a slick not scrubbed in properly, wet weather and leaning the bike over equals one very sore rump and a broken bike.
First crash on the CBR125 with a broken rearset, broken gear changer and dented tank. Am now in the process of making up a new set of rearsets with folding footpegs (or throw away bolts). And am cooking up some more mods, which will hopefully be ready for the enduro.
Might even be able to make it to Taupo again this year. Heard back that they are going to run two classes of F4 this year, which I'm very keen to see/race in. If 5 go I'll be hiring a garage again, if anyone is interested in a space let me know, will probably cost you $40 for a spot.
Am also wondering about the enduro this year if any decision has been made yet over the length of it?
