Hi All,
Just a friendly reminder to get your entries in for the NZPCRA Grand Prix at Taupo on Saturday 30th October.
There is also a BEARS and Pro-Twins class.
The track will be open Friday afternoon from 5pm to 8:30pm for sign on, scrutineering and unpacking bikes etc. into the garages.
The track will be open saturday morning at 7am, practicing starts at 9:30am.
Depending on entry numbers some of the classes maybe combined.
We a still short on flag marshals, so if you have someone to bring along please contact me.
There will be 1 practice and 3 races per class. First race 6 laps, second race (GP) 10 laps, third race 6 laps. If there is time we will try for a forth race.

Hi Peter,

How many BEAR's races are there going to be (is it 3 as per the classics classes)? and is it for modern bikes or Classic Bears only? And is it short or long track? (sorry for all the questions...)
Thanks

Bears races are the same as the others. A 6 lapper, a 10 lapper and another 6 lapper.
Modern BEARS, Duke 1098's, Trumpies 675 etc.
Track 1 (the long track)
I'll see ya there.

Oh, I didn't realise it was for modern bikes as well. The entry form makes it sound like it's for pre 89?

"12. Machine Eligibility
The aim of NZPCRA is to foster and promote the preservation and use of Road and Race Motorcycles manufactured between 1963 and 1989.
All machines entered must comply with the class eligibility rules (as per MNZ GCR’s) chapter 25."

I'd be keen if I can enter with the 998?

Hi Johan,
The Bears + pro-twins class is not a post classic class, so yes, bring your 998.
I look forward to hearing it thunder around the track again.
Down load the entry form from the web site and I'll see ya there.

Hi Peter,
That's great news!

I guess the 998 is rather something in between post classic and modern these days :)

Well the power delivery probably wouldn't scare you as much and you'd lap faster so I can't see why not.....
