Don't Prime advertise live MotoGP coverage? It looks as if this weekends racing from Catalunya is scheduled for Monday night coverage? Warriors on Sunday night at midnight, :weird: http://sickestbikes.dyndns.org/forum/images/smiles/gay.gif

Wondered how long it would be before an oval ball sport would screw things up.The only ball game that I enjoy is sex, and even that has repercussions so hideous that I am considering giving up altogether.

I shall become; Brother James, Motorcycling Monk.

First mission will be to storm Prime offices and remove all ability to transmit oval ball sports to the flickering box of imagination reduction +2.

Don't knock Prime, they're the only reason those of us with poverty TV get to see any motorbicycle sport.

I'll knock them as much as I want. There's more money in MotoGP than rugby, but it's STILL marginalised in favour of an oval ball sport that most oval ball sport playing countries barely take seriously.

It's the same level of commitment to F1 that TV1 display - yes, we'll broadcast live - except when the oval ball sports or the news might be interrupted.

Yes true, but unfortunately your views aren't the same as the majority of the population. Price you pay for being a minority...

Imagine how the people who like to watch soccer feel.

The majority think McDonalds is a meal & Lion or DB a great beer. At least motorcyclists participate in their sport, how many losers that watch team sports play it?

Kick the ball. Run boy. Come on Gaaarry (old cough drop add)

Boooor-ing! :wait:

But it's not actually in step with what's happening out there in "the real world". F'rinstance: the most popular sport in NZ, in terms of participants: netball. How much coverage does it get cf. rugby and cricket?

Another example: the TV stations are now covering every little piece of that boring Aussie V8 racing because they've determined that's what 'we' want, whereas other stuff that NZers are doing well in (MX, for one) gets relegated to brief snippets.

The only place I'm in a minority is NZ. That doesn't make NZers right or clever.

Don't start me on V8's, the racings only enlivened by arseholes playing dodgems. And Ford v Holden, it's like dinosaurs fighting to see who goes extinct first. Pushrod engines, farm trailer suspension technology. Bah, humbug!

You mean Taxi racing?

I for one am grateful that Prime screen the Moto GP.
I would like to see the WSP racing that TV1 used to show as well, but I guess since no Kiwis are riding (that I know of) it is of no interest to them.

Prime is free to air, and they bring us a sport Sky and TVNZ wouldn't,
so I say support them.
I can't stand rugby and league, but screaming about it makes as much sense as pissing in the wind.
If you don't like it get off your arse and move to Europe.

Anyone know why my Prime Tv channel reception is shit? What do I need to do to get it crystal clear? All other channels are clear except for Prime and Triangle TV.

Fark, talk about looking a gift horse in the mouth.
The GP is generally live, but (2nd time this year) sometimes they move it for another programme. Don't listen to the radio or read the paper or open the GP pages & she'll be right. Hell, even if I find out who wins I'm stoked to be watching the whole race (with advertisements between the warm-up lap & at the end of the race not during the race). I can't stay up to watch it anyhow.
Go & pay for Sky or satellite or whatever, don't bitch about something that's free.
Prime is doing a fine job, it's not their fault kiwis are sad & enjoy those oval ball games (and they probably get better advertising rates for it).
Good on Prime :)

I vote, I pay taxes, and most of all I consume products that pay for the "free" TV. I still reserve the right to bitch.

There isn't anything ON Sky that I'd pay to watch except the Cartoon Network.

It's an attitude that pervades NZ that motorsport is a "meathead" sport that no one watches - the meathead part largely thanks to the plonkers pedalling those Aussie taxis around miniature racetracks on the great dustbowl to our left.

Prime and TV One promise live coverage of the premier classes of 2 and 4 wheeled motorsport respectively and then fail to deliver. I still haven't figured out why they delay the 125s and 250s 'til AFTER the main event. 9 times out of 10 the 125s are more exciting than MotoGP by a large margin. That kind of failure with say Coronation St would get people lynched.

The thing that pisses me off the most is that neither channel has EVER attempted to rate a live broadcast of F1 or MotoGP. They might be surprised at level of veiwership.

My Prime coverage is crap also but then we live outback in the Wgton hills. We have a fancy aerial too. Pity cause the MotoGP is a TV highlight that is a must watch, even though it is B&W and super fuzzy. Sound is OK though. Only option is to get Sky and pay $. On the subject of V8's Wgton saw the light and pulled out of the series, personally I thought it would suit the Hutt valley much better, suit the petrol heads & bogans here much better and it would bring some life into the place. Crikey it needs it.

Anyone have Primes e mail address? I want to send them a big thank you for sticking with the MotoGP.

The pissiest coverage of MotoGP goes to TV1...you get the start, a couple of laps in the middle, then the end and that's only if there's no V8 racing to be covered that weekend in which case MotoGP gets canned.

If the coverage upsets you so much, throw your tv out then you won't be able to whinge about it. :oi-grr:
Personally I congratulate Prime for showing us what they do and have told them so. :niceone:

Well I have a beef about the cartoon network. I only get to watch it in motels etc & get all excited, but then realise most cartoons these days are poxy japanese ghey fighty ones.

What ever happened to the classic H&Bbra, or Duckman, or The Tick?

My PRIME reception was very hit of miss, until one day I was playing with the tuning of another channel & found there was a better PRIME transmitter to tune into. Now it’s my best reception.

Yay PRIME! + it’s got scrapheap challenge!

and Top Gear!!
Just that Prime advertised live MotoGP coverage, its not if the Warriors game is live anyway, who is going to watch that at 11.55? The games played around 4.00. Whay not have the warriors at say 10.00 followed by MotoGP?

That's my point. "Integrity" needs to be struck from all dictionaries as it is no longer in use except as a sarcastic counterpoint in a losing argument. In which case a sour, "Get fucked" will do the same job.
