View Full Version : Can get a Triumph Scrambler if we answer these NZ questions
JohnJumper
18th October 2010, 08:50
One of the prizes here is a Scrambler if we can figure out the daily questions. Don’t think many people know about it so we could do pretty well. They all seem to be NZ based about the Telstra ads. The easier one today is Mayor Island but not too sure what the harder one is,
“TC and Bill roared through Tauranga in search of their next destination. “What’s this place called, then?” asked Bill. TC replied, “Just think of Mayfair, only if your nose was blocked.” Which suburb are they looking for? (7 characters)
I want to say Papamoa as that’s near Tauranga and fits the character limit but it doesn’t really fit the question?
link is here anyway: http://www.jointhejourney.co.nz/mark.cfm

More of a challenge is the hard question. I've got no clue! The blog says it is somewhere in the BOP, so that helps a little. Surely the 3 letter word is 'bay' or 'hill'....?

Go to the Wiki page for Nelson, look at the list of local historic places. Look for the one that best suits "historic house of sap", Amber House. Click on the link, it refers in there somewhere to it still having a section of its 19th century wallpaper intact and a little picture of a *gasp* Artichoke. Quite a good one today actually.

I only got 27 pins as I missed a week and the start of it.
Well I only had 12 pins...joined up late....marked some rather obscure places...figure everyone will go for the "popular' spots
It only takes one pin to win it....hopefully my pin on Jerusalem

Kept forgetting to do it, so only got 8.
I place the pins and save, but if you go back to the page, the pins are no longer set.

Much appreciated for the help folks, I couldnt get half the answers without it. I only saw this thread recently and didnt know about the competition so only have 8 pins to place but as someone said before, It only takes one to win

I would try again if I were you, I just went back to the page with my pins and they were still there. Is you pins count at zero or at 8? If its zero, I would take it that they have been entered.

Turned out to be the Chrome beta browser I used. Worked fine in Explorer.

believe we may have fixed the problem. There's a new version of the map on the website, so hopefully you should be able to place without them disappearing. Just to note that it could be that your browser has cached the old version of the map so if you continue to have problems you may need to empty the browser cache.
Good luck
Kind regards
