I haven' had a ride in ages and itching to get out, a couple of us are going for a ride Saturday leave hamilton at 9.30 and back at 1 o'clock. I was thinking of going out to Kawhia, could meet at founders theatre around 9 and leave 9.30. anyone is welcome to come. If anyone has any other good rides that are around 3 1\2 hours let us know.weather looks like it will be sweet hopefully no fog. :2thumbsup
Im in for sure man. Will have a think about posible ride routes. I think someone posted a few good local rides in another "hamilton riders" thread. If it's too foggy we can just ride to the nearest pub and get in a few "quiets" before the ruggers... :niceone: :cold:
Btw jsut finished downloading that delcam program trial, will yell out if (when) I get stuck.

If I have gas I'll be there. And aslong as we're back before the game starts I'll be with the whole way. Need to find my neckwarmer though so I don't get sick again.

it looks like a ride to kawhia. Depending on time, on the way back we could head to otorhanga-kihikihi and maybe arpuni back through to hams. yeah weather looks sweet just a bit cold and foggy.

Hey guys, im new to this forum. I am also very new to riding, i bought a bike as just a cheaper way to get around but have found its a hell of alot of fun as well. Im in Hamilton and would be keen to meet some fellow 'bikers'. What I was wondering is if this ride you are planning for tomorrow is open to others or a private thing. Also (and more importantly) will i be able to keep up as no doubt most of you will have been riding for years and own street legal superbikes. Im a student and on my learners so i have a suzuki 1984 RG250 with 'heaps of character' (read well used) but it goes ok, just dont wanta be left on my loansome when everyone else decides 250kph is alot more fun lol.
anyway just good to say high, im in hamiltron, cant miss me - big guy on old, small 2 stroke.

If I show up Willy I won't be going fast. I'm on a cruiser that's been tossed in a ditch and still has some running problems for it. If I'm not there then there should be a few others that will be on 250s and such.

G'day mate, welcome to KB.
The ride tommorrow is definitly an open thing, don't worry about what you ride or how fast you can ride... not the point.
No ones in a great hurry, besides I know of one dottery old grandpa out riding his shiny new '05 636 for you to pass!
Come along, beats going on rides on your lonesome and you might even learn something, if your really lucky it might even be something worth learning!
Ciao

Ride it over here mate. As for breakfast if you want to show up at my place tomorrow (bringing your own food stuffs) then sure I'll cook ya something. Don't know how to cook much though. Scrambled eggs and bacon are the usuall. Put the eggs and bacon on toast with some colby cheese and it's really good.
Should warn you my yard is a mess though...

Just had a quike blat back from a mates place. Open helmet (as I left my full one sitting in front of the heater too long and now has a dent in the side) with a scarf around my face and was fine. Tomorrow should be great provided it's not bloody raining or too foggy.

Thought it was just a lack of sleep and too much booze that was making my bike feel like a total piece of shit when cornering yesterday. Felt really uncomfortable all day. But found out that I had a flat tyre which explains a lot. Was totally flat this morning when I got up. At least I had fun destroying it...
