Was just going down Eskdale road (Adjacent the Eskdale reserve entrance, by the power transformers) to find a slab of the black magic cut out to reveal a 5 degree camber of heavy metal gravel - enough of it to make my front wheel very vague.
I looked behind me to check for signs, because all I could see was a 30k marker and about 7-8 cones.

Do I call anyone about this? Because it sure as shit caught me off guard! Doesn't help that that particular slab of road is usually dark and uneven.

Let the local council know. The MAG-NZ website has a Report A Road (http://www.mag-nz.org/campaigns/report-a-road) campaign, there is some useful info there.

Cheers for that, 0800 number seems useless though, will try e-mail and follow up other routes.
