fairings on it arent original but the bike itself was fairly good nick, the lucky strike stickers i got in a sheet for 10 bucks make it look good though, after that one i brought a minter done about 7000kms from new(still had original tyres on it)kept it for about 4 years and sold it for $13500 about 6 years ago to a guy in dunedin

Those lucky strike stickers were top notch compared to the suzuki labels coloured in with black felt tip pen that were on it when i got it  (the old fibreglass fairings are now awaiting restore for a mates RG) - For this bike new plastic fairings were offered up for a good price (seen as they are rare as ducks nuts) and have been added incl solo tail cowl, and its all off to the painters now - hoping to have it all sorted by year end and thinking about bringing it along to Taupo for display while we racing there after boxing day series.

Cheers Guys, had a great response from the public at w(h)anganui - was amazed at the amount of photos and interest in it (was matching the amount taken of choppa & bmw next door for a while...) Just starting to think about a good contender for the next mid 80's restoration now....:sherlock:

The RG500 is one of my favourite bikes. It's really nice to see such a nice piece of biking history back on the roads.
