Just got some screamin eagle flat tops 95" and I'm looking for a good place in Auckland to bore my cylinders nicely. Any ideas guys?
And something else, I heard somebody saying something about boring the CV carb? I'll rejet it, polish the piston, change with a bigger top chamber etc, all nice, but honing it up to 44 will be something kinda awesome... but sounds SF for me...
P.S. Got my SE-211 too, heheheh

Is that so much difference so is worth the $ between screamin eagle tappets and Jim's? I can get SE with 200$US ans Jim's 350... I've seen some Fueling at 100 something , crane 200 something...
Common guys, anybody here is workin his own bike or all of yous are that rich...

engines are basicaly air pumps the more air you can pump through them the more power you make

bigger inches = more power no question about that

carbs the most popular route is s&s or mikuni - both are better than the stock CV but the stock CV is not that bad

if you are running short on $$$$$$ then money spent on a decent cam (cams in your case) delivers more bang for the buck than money spent on a carb

on a twin cam you need to convert to a gear drive train fior the cams

choice of cam go for something that kicks in with a strong mid range punch cause that is where you are going to use the power, if you want top end kick then sell the harley and buy a jappa that will rev to 16,000 rpm

pipes - just as important as the induction side of things because you need to get the gas out - good quality performance systems cost - r&d is not cheap however there are deals to be had on fleabay

cam followers ??? are they F***ed already ???? if not leave well alone the twin cam runs followers direct in the cases, putting new followers in will require them to bed in wearing a few more microns off your cases

if you are really serious about going fast, cheapest and easist route is to sell your engine and buy a brand new out of the crate S&S

personally I would leave well alone and enjoy the bike as it is, have been down the performance engine route before, its expensive and the amount of money spent could be better spent on buying a ducati that delvers that sort of performance out of the crate for less money than you would spend hot rodding a harley

First paragraph ... no shit...
Second ... u go girl!
I was wondering!
Try to guess SE-211 is it a bird, is it a plane is it a cam for a twin cam?!
Next ... can not compute...
U are a genius ... I just write there that I have Vince & Hines pipes... but I think I was lost in translation...Anyway sing for me a nice song!
Followers.. u try to say lifters. Hmmm... half life and u know an upgrade is starting with that... but not u!
Thanks for the S&S idea, if I wanna go fast for 2000km and stop I will take an S&S. The top longevity for a S&S engine was 50 k miles (with an old chap riding). Maybe I will bild a 2000 Indian to go fast as! hehehehehe
Do u vave an S&S engine on u'r bike? I though so ! Thanks anyway!
If I will need a sport bike I will get a GSXR1000 but wait, I had one...so u can stuff u'r Ducati behind u'r ears and never mention about it again.
