I tried to get to Mt Wellington for this one, (just to watch) but snapped a throttle cable just five mins from home. :gob:
Still a half hour push!
Good pics I think its the first time I've seen a set with side-cars.

Great pics, I brought a friend along to have a thrash on my sons bike as he was away...:innocent:
Kelvin was lent a bike by Henk :woohoo::woohoo: and then he had a go on the sidecars....he had a real buzz on for the rest of the day. Cheers Guys.
I however managed to loose it on the infield.....bit of straightning to do on the bike....

I think the guy who's bike it was got upset we'd lent it to someone and threw it down the road (infield as well). Craig nicely ripped off the front number plate, but silly boy hurt his elbow as well (throw toys, don't injure self, will they never learn).

I should've just left my bike in the van, or just come out for a ride on my road bike, rather than bothering to attempt to have fun at the back of the b grade on Sunday. Way too much testosterone out there for my liking. If summer's going to be like that, I'll not bother coming out to ride. I much preferred the less hectic wet race days.

What did you bend? I have a reasonable collection of the commonly bent bits if you get stuck.

If you get stuck let me know. Replaced a couple of ours with these so have the stock ones in the bottom of the parts box.

Bent, broken, going or shot, Henk has the parts to get you going again. No need to take spares or even a pit crew, he supplies the lot. Crash and burn? don't worry, he will have the bike ready for the next race ( even if you would rather have a quick trip to A&E to check for fractures) We are looking at transfering him down to the Hawkes Bay.

I'm from West Auckland mate, can only get a three day visa for the rest of the country, can't we just put your track on a ute and bring it a bit closer so we can get to it more often.
Grant, you coming up for the two hour? if you are and teaming up with Pumba I may have to consider not entering myself, could have a full time job as team mechanic if the last two races I have been to are anything to go by.
I'm a bit worried actually. Michelle overheard someone yesterday saying something along the lines of "Don't know how to change a tyre, don't have tyre levers, don't need them, I know Henk" Bitch of it all is I quite enjoy the spannering end of things, although I must say that changing tyres in a gimp suit with weather like we had just before a practice sesion was a bit exhasuting, maybe next time I'll take my knee sliders off.

Thanks Ray. As you are a photographer yourself, we used a Canon 300mm F4 L all race day. The servo focus needs time to lock on to the bike but when it comes right it is very sharp. I also have the much newer IS version of the same lens (they don't sell the old non-IS one now) but so far I don't think the new one is any better.

That looks very well made - does it fit with the standard pegs?

Any bike shop. Northern Accesories part

83-88018 GEAR LEVER TL1000 RF900 SV650 (more info)
•ALLOY SV650 99-06 Yes $24.95

Can't remeber if I had to take the spacer washer thing out. Was a pretty easy fit anyway.

Hey anyone know who the guy was there on Saturday that had the camera mounted out on the kerb?

Would be keen to see what shots he got from that angle

I had a chat with him but he did not offer a card so I have no name or contact details. He had top pro equipment. Yes, would be great to see how the photos came out.

I think his name was Tony but I'm not even sure of that. Thought he had handed someone a card but no idea who.
