I would so love a guzzi racer... but also think I would need a pretty damn fine excuse to add another bike to the garage.

Let me know how that works out for you

I don't think 'unsure' is a strong enough word.....

Nice bike, but the colour scheme ruins it for me. Nice work on the headers, quite imaginative!

The colour choice is pure chunder, and I think the headers are copied from the Britten?

Agreed, the purple you could maybe live with, at least for a little while - but the gold frame looks so cheesy, just cheapens the whole bike IMO.

Dunno if the headers were copied from the Britten as they're quite different (well, mostly):

Though that twisted look does seem vaguely familiar, and yes I'm still talking about headers before you come up with some smart arse reply... :bleh:

Mate in a world where people buy motorcycles for no other reason than the "latest whatever magazine said blah blah blah" then some knob who needs you to buy in order to pay his mortgage spouts off his bit of drivvle a bit of something different is quite refreshing, honest at least. One of the funniest things ive ever heard on here was from a salesman who said he would never sell a bloke anything he wouldnt happily own himself.Beauty of the interweb eh.

Completely agree
I love bikes with "character", in the end it comes down to personal taste, dosn't matter what others think...as long as you love it:woohoo: (BUY THE GUZZI!!..dodge the wife!)
I saw a "bitsa" in a bike mag once that a guy built on no budget and limited parts...I loved it!, but the comments in the next issue where shocking! lots of yuppies saying it was a peice of s@$#! and shouldn't have been in the mag, what they didn't realize was -it wasn't there bike!, they didn't have to like it!...the owner loved it & was damn proud of what he had.
Horse's for course's I say.
Besides...new bikes scare me!..to many computers and wires for me to fix...or go wrong.

Well the thing is, the thread is about whether you like the bike or not. So you see, I don't give a flying fuck that the rest of the world doesn't care what I think.

Just like you shouldn't care that some people think you having arse sex with a goat is a bit off. At least from what I've heard, your pecker is so small it won't hurt the goats anus.

Same old, same old. Why don't you tell the other cunts here that didn't like your boyfriends Guzzi that the world doesn't give a fuck what they think? Or was that comment only for bike salesmen? I ask once again...does being a bike salesman mean I can't have an opinion here on this site?

If I lied and said I liked it, you'd no doubt roll out the same old "typical salesmans bullshit".

Because you've got ya panties in a bunch over something. Well...that ain't my problem. If you don't like that I have an opinion, and that I'm happy to voice it, I don't give a fuck. And if you want to turn this into an "Ooooohhhh...you're a salesman, so this means that everyone should read this and never ever buy a bike off you because you're nasty...I said so" bleat, do your best.

But do us all a favour...get a new tune. Oh...and grow some balls.

Isn't that something others should do? IF they find you funny?

I go with cs363 in saying those headers are gorgeous and a work of art.
How I could see them on my V11 quite easily :)

Funny ay, when the 1100 Sports and V11's have shorty mufflers, it exposes the rather spindly swingarms they have. Don't seem to flex though, despite the concrete block around the rear axle !! :shit:

Sure, not your standard Guzzi colours, but not your standard Guzzi either!

Certainly a good talking point at gathering points during a ride...

shush now. Nothing to see here. move right along willya. the photo clearly shows a number plate, ergo its, um, you know.... legal. (like the Lancia Delta Integrale getting round town: full noise LHD: just dont look at the rego too closely: it appears to incorrectly describe the vehicle as another model... obviously an LTSA error)

As to the original bike link.

I really like it. Not so much the colour scheme (purple/black or gold/black but not purple/gold.) Having said that, its easy to change.

And I have (thanks to a little windfall) got nearly enough to buy it. Or buy something. or sell the scrambler and buy something else.

or sell the scrambler and buy a DR650 and something else.

the trouble is, its enough to make me crazy because its not QUITE enough. if you get my drift.

A Guzzi is on my list of "makes to own before I die" (hopefully not JUST before either). Along with H-D, and Ducati.

:(

what to do? what to do?

Buy a stock 1100 Sport, fuel injected if you can find one. They're fucking awesome to ride and will be easier to sell later on if you decide it's not for you. Be warned though, owning Guzzis forces you to become a weirdo, grow a beard and vowe never to own another brand of bike (or at least always have at least 1 M/G in the garage)for some fucked up reason. I don't get it but that's I why I avoid them like the plague.

Too damn good looking mate! No way will I cover this face up.....

In seriousness though, I would own an 1100 Sport in a heartbeat, if only they weren,t so bloody expensive for the age. Ditto the new Grisso but that's Lotto winning shit right there.

Well, I like the bike just the way he has done it. It is a custom job and what that means is that the bike is made to look the way he wants it. I fully respect anyone for doing just that: putting their own touch on a bike.
