This arvo I spent the good part of 10-15 mins explaining to a cop that there was no way in hell my FXR could do 130 let alone the 138 he insisted that he clocked me at!! He was a bikie cop so I tried explaining about the single cylinder, oil cooled engine that I was riding and that I may have just reached 105 k's if I was lucky!! Apparently I must've modified it

Cop tried using the argument that it had race numbers and race blobs (nylon) all over it so he could not believe me, even after I told him that it was raced on a go-kart track! He eventually did let me go as I had very valid arguments and a good attitude so I will probably learn from this scare!

Excellent work Mr Popo, keep up the good work!

Seriously questions the accuracy of Popo's gear doesn't it! Where was this alleged offence committed?

Down the Ngauranga gorge flat in top lying on the tank?

I ran my FXR150 through a flying Km once, redline in top indicating 140 ish kmh and it was doing 123km actual, lower gearing than stock though

Ok, tbh a folden did go screaming past me just before I saw the cop and he probably just focused on the bike with race numbers on it....

Charge would have been changed to Racing on the road (against the Taxi that went past). After all why else would she have numbers?

Anyway, I hope you've learnt your lesson.:nya:

One of the maintenance guys from our building caught up with me earlier and asked what I was doing on the side of the road with a copper yest. He said that I was waving my hand around wildly while shaking my head givnig the guy an earful.....

Youve grown up? When did THAT happen?

(138 on an FXR? I have no idea why your bikes keep blowing up Hels... :innocent: )

Remember some years ago doing the "lye on the tank thingy" on a Honda 175 twin.
The only thing that gave the show away as to the huge speed i was doing was the very loud bang when a piston shot through the side. Thought at the time i may have been over doing it.:wings:

How does putting lye on the tank help? that shit is corrosive. Maybe some went on the barrels, could explaining the piston incident.

And that is a stigma that I hate having attached to me.... I have had some very unfortunate luck with engines!!!

As you would know old man.......I gather your thoughts are that if you take a couple of years off we will forget how hard you are on the gear......It will never happen Kick, you are a legend for all the wrong reasons!:crybaby:

Handy for destroying evidence, though..
