Kudos to Hastings bikers

Greetings all.. been lurking on the site for a while now but never really had anything to say till today.

Got stuck on my way to work this morning. My carb manifold slipped off and the engine died in the middle of town!:shit: took me a few minutes of trying to kick start the bike till I realised what was wrong and pulled out the tool kit. :facepalm:

Anyways, thats not why I made this thread.

I just wanted to say kudos to the 5 or 6 bikers and the guy in the ute with an old classic bike in the back, who slowed down and gave me the old "all good?" thumbs up. except for one elderly chap on a vmax (i think), even a couple of cage drivers slowed down. Thanks all you guys. its good to see that there are still people out there who show some concern for someone on the side of the road and aren't just caught up in their own little worlds. :rockon:

Perhaps they were just checking whether there was anything worth nicking. Saw you'd got all the good bits already...

hahahah.. thats true.. Hastings is famous for all the nicking that goes on. been on the recieving end of that a couple of times myself.

but yeah, for a pessimist like me, this morning was a good reminder to keep faith in human nature
