Google Phenylalanine & Aspartame.....
Coffee in itself is not the demon it's cracked up to be, the amount of milk you drink with it can cause more long term harm, allegedly. Their are even a number of health benefits to be gained drinking black coffee in moderation.
To much caffeine can stress your heart & liver, coffee also interferes with your digestion because of it's acidity (especially instant), it also inhibits your bodies ability to absorb nutrients if you drink a lot. Instant contains salt.... which causes you to dehydrate & drink more.
You may get a headache when you stop your coffee drinking too.
If it's any consolation I used to drink at least 10 flat whites or espresso's a day when I was cooking. Down to 5 now.....
You crave coffee less is if it's proper not instant.

If you are worried about the number of cups of coffee you have in a day you could always have a coffee enema to keep the caffeine levels up.

I have been drinking coffee everyday for so long now, I honestly can not start my day without it. I used to scoff at peoples claims that it was addictive, until I tried going cold turkey....... migraine, neusea. I almost vomitted at one point in the afternoon. Now I just figure, fuck it!! and I still I drink it every day. Its not that bad. I can think of much worse things to be addicted too.

Tea? you must be sensitive.
Instant really doe's give you a hangover because of dehydration, like booze. Real coffee is chemical based & gone after an hour or two in my experience. Been awhile since it happened though, my blood is brown & when I cut myself the wound froths.

Well, I was drinking a good 7, maybe 10 cups a day I have since learned I have a Cortisol deficiency. Turns out Coffee helps when you don't have enough Cortisol, so I guess my body was trying to make up for it.

I now take Cortisol hormone tablets everyday, and my Coffee intake is down to 2 or 3 cups a day.

I've tried it, many times, many different brands, but I just can't enjoy it. You coffee drinkers are a strange lot though, when I go to someones house and turn down an offer of coffee, the look on their face is like that you'd expect if I just thrown-up on their carpet.

And then the questioning begins. 'You don't like coffee? Really? Have you tried it? And you still don't like it? What about x brand]? What about iced coffee? No? Are you sure? I'm having one, I can make you one. Do you drink mochochino's? Cappachino's? No? What do you drink when you go out? But what about on a cold day? You'd have one then right? No? Man, you're strange. Can't believe you don't drink coffee. Oh well, if you want one just holler out'.

Heres an interesting fact. Caffeine prevents the absorbtion of iron so, it is recommended that you don't drink coffee with your food. Before food or some time after eating is fine.

According to science 1 coffee a day is good. Or 1 and a half squares of dark chocolate.

I had espresso machines at home and did up to 10 doubles some days. After about 5-10 years, coffee then started to cause health problems. Cutting back or giving up is quite hard with the black stuff everywhere and a bit like cigarettes addiction wise.

Caffeine can and does attack the nervous system in oldies, shaking, dementia, gut and neurological problems occur after even 1 decade of strong tea and coffee drinking. Pay your dues nobody rides for free

Once your elderly you're just fucked, me grandma takes a turn if her orange juice is too strong.

Personally I'll just look to the research...

Despite 20 years of reassuring research, many people still avoid caffeinated coffee because they worry about its health effects. However, current research reveals that in moderation—a few cups a day—coffee is a safe beverage that may even offer some health benefits.

Hot water only scorches the coffee and it tastes bitter but black coffee drinkers cant tell the difference. If you take milk, the milk has to go in first, thats rule number 1.

No way! The coffee is already burnt to a crisp if it's instant (most beans are roasted too aren't they?), and the hot water just f*cks the milk. :shit:

Yeah but you can taste the difference if the instant coffee gets the milk last.

Black drinkers need to wait for the water to cool to 95C

The beans are roasted at up to 220oC, how is boiling water going to "scorch" it? Rips my nightie when I hear somebody describing an espresso as burnt, you can't burn coffee with water. If it's over extracted then it becomes acidic, giving a sharp bitter taste which is wrongly described as burnt. Like saying spicy rather than chillie for a hot curry, cinnamon is not hot but it is spicy. Adding boiling water straight to instant merely releases more of the crap thats in it, same flavour but stronger.
The fat & lactose in milk keeps some of the molecules stuck together lessening the intensity, thats just my theory by the way.
