My mate has got himself a Xr200 but he has been ripped off badly it was meant to have been rebuilt 10 hours ago but was taken to mechanic and said it needs new crank and conrod so he is looking for anything that is complete and in good condition if you can help let me know and i will pass on details

i dont know the brand, but a chinese company brought the moulds off honda and makes new xr200 engines. i know someone who bought one for a speedway bike and theyr ment to be just as good as a honda. ya might find something after a little research

He as already spent $3000 on this bike getting it so is looking for anything running around $800 max

Don't jump the gun. It may of been rebuilt 10hrs ago and the crank felt ok/was in spec. We buy blown bikes and fix them, 9 times out of 10 they blame the bike, but 9 times out of 10 it was thu users fault.

I even watched a new rider who'd brought a bike of a friend of mine put the pre-mix in the gearbox, and the gear oil in the petrol. If it hadn't been spotted it would of seized then the seller would be an arsehole!!



Whats actually wrong with the bike that you know of? Could probably rebuild it fairly cheap myself, or get barty to.

As Rupe said for a little over $200 could get your old crank rebuilt with new rod and bearings a few gaskets and seal maybe a couple a bearings a piston if needed there cheap as well and you'd have a new motor. Hell if you want send it up with the $800 and ill do it with some change left over better to rebuild what you have than buy some else's problem

he hasnt been able to start it since he got it. the conrod is melted and the crank is cracked along with big end bearing

Shineray is the company, there was a xr200 on the weekend with shineray crank cases on it.

Do you mean the case have cracks in them ???

sorry Im not a mechanic and dont really know what tim talking about but the crank has broken
