View Full Version : Harley riders filming on NW motorway

On the way back from uni today (around lunchtime), there were a couple of cruisers, one of them two-up, stopped on the side of the motorway between the St. Lukes and Waterview off-ramps, and a Pajero (or some other SUV) parked a bit further down the road with a video camera (professional looking thing) pointing down the motorway.
Anyone else see them or know what they were up to?
'cause I had nothing better to do, I got off the motorway at waterview, circled back, and went looking for them. Found them continuing up the north western. But I turned off at Lincoln road and headed home.

The thought did occur to me, but there was an unmarked cop car right in front of me...
(and I can't do wheelies :-p)

It was a promo for the All Blacks supporters campaign. Probably about 15 bikes did a run down Queen St with dollies on the back waving flags.

Was in Queen Street at about 1pm and there was a procession of Harleys with All Blacks flags being held by the pillions guess it may of been to do with that.

Of course i have it covered.
Most people who put shit on harleys have never ridden one.
I'm not a hog, nor do i favour harleys - but I still pay them the respect of being fellow motorcycle enthusiasts - and it's always returned.

racism - trumps are way better.
Why are harleys still portrayed as the 'tough' bikes....that 04 vrod is still on my wish list mind you... :niceone:
(thanks for the heads up and pictures though).
Anyway so what/when will we see this?

Bah, they might sound nice but a harley still sounds better. Atleast when they are not changing gears.

Harleys sound good. But Id rather hear a inline four getting thrashed any day. the bike not the person. :devil2:

I've been know to take the potshot at Harleys on the odd occasion. Probaby still will when it suites. But as for the guys,...............there's this macho image that just lends itself to humour...................but as there are more of them than me, disrection is the better part of valour. Now I know a few Harley riders who are great guys. Just don't ride with them for whatever reason.
As for sound, again I'm probably outnumbered here but since I can not hear the sound of my bike what do I care what it sounds like.
It's the ride that interests me. The smooth vibes that come with a bike that knows what it's about and can appreciate a rider who knows how to turn it on.
