Well before I could sanction the purchase of a yamaha I would need to see how well the headlights work and what the front profile is like. And riding a few of their models would not be would not hurt (strictly for comparison of course).

Are these supposed to be Yamahas latest entrants in the naked category?

Not quite, very close examination reveals a bikini fairing

Big Dog I'm thinkin exactly what you'r thinkin. A test ride would be a good place to start. Just to see which model suits a long slow leisurley ride, and which model is a little wilder and would sut a good thrashing!

What?

Maybe take one home for a weekend trial and give it a good wash to see if the paint is any good.

Not to mention getting the old dipstick out to check the oil for contaminants!

got to check;
Roll ons,
stoppies,
knee downs,
and other cunning stunts.

I noticed after I posted on this thread, that you're digging up old threads. You DO know that you can be publically beaten for that? :shake:

How reliable are they? I hear they spring a leak on a monthly bases. Require continous maintenance and devalue quicker than a Ural.

Nah, id say the computer in them is fucked. You wont get hardly any ride time on them. And you'd never be able to get a proper service manual for them.
Then youll have to buy all the tacky accessories for them too.
And as for resale value, if its bad enough to sell - you wont even be able to give them away.

Had mine 20 years, newer ones are way too quick! Allthough allways liked the idea of having more than one in garage at a time, but as pointed out to me you can only ride one at a time!

Oh oh heres she comes :kick:

I wonder if they are using that new paint that changes colour with the light?
Wheel out a new model and see if they go green....
(or maybe red!)

The one with the wrinkles in the seat has been used. I'd give that a miss. The blue yummy on the left looks like a muscle bike. Just my sort of ride.
