Daytona 675R for the win... but that is a stunner.

Criticized for continuing to use the same styling for the F4?? Why the hell not I say. After all, Ducati had to go back to styling their bikes along the 916's lines. Yamaha have kept the same general appearance for the R1. Go with what works I say.

That's gorgeous and I can't wait to see one for real. Looks like it might be built for midgets though.

Well it certainly wont be built for tubs of lard......

Can't believe it's only a 600 though, why wouldn't they at least try and compete with the Trumpet?

It is a 675. Maybe you should hand your resignation in at that bike shop?

Yes I agree that is one stunning bike,if all the pre production propaganda are to be
believed it should be better than the Triumph 675
I wonder at what price it will be
Might have to put that on the wish list

I bet it sounds the bees-knees.
If you ever get to hear a Benelli Tornado or TNT with a loud pipe  ,...the Italians just know how to make sound as important as the rest of the bike.

From :http://www.mvagusta.it/en/f3?aprix=techdata;funcax=fnProductFeatures()#techd ata

"....ENGINE
The powerplant of the new F3, an inline 675cc three cylinder, plays homage to the most victorious motorcycle brand in the word. With this layout MV raced and won an unprecedented number of races and world championship titles. This iconic engine has now returned in the form of an avant-garde middle weight supersport with performance technical solutions based on the demands of Claudio Castiglioni who is convinced that this is the ideal architecture for a middle weight supersport.
The engine is the most compact, incredible short and narrow engine ever seen in this category. The powerplant is incredibly modern in design, technologically advanced and capable of generating the most power ever seen in this category. One of the numerous technical features is the counter-rotating crankshaft, never before seen on a production supersport engine....."

Definitely a 675, despite some websites saying it's a 600.

P.S. I wonder if its going to come with a lifetime supply of rear hub bearings?

P.S. I wonder if its going to come with a lifetime supply of rear hub bearings? No, they have instead decided to restrict sales to people intelligent enough to both own and know how to use a torque wrench.

Well if the usual MV owners arent allowed to buy them, who the hell are they marketing them to now?

MV reckons by the time they go into production the engine will put out close to 140 hp! Bugger me, that's 20 more then the Daytona. I suppose you pay for it though.

To start with I'll admit right up front that for some time now I've found the whole sport bike 'look' somewhat undesirable. I think it is that they are all looking very much a muchness and nothing really 'new' or 'raw' is appearing.

Now with that out of the way ......

YUM - I do like the look of that beast. Well side on (not keen on the headlight). After my first comment I am unsure why - I think it is the mid/rear treatment with the 'hole' under the seat behind the engine giving the bike a perception of stripped down lightness.

Is a 'naked' version on the way to compete with the Triumph Street?

You may need to add a few specifications to gain some interest.

Bore and stroke is good to know.....

How many miles? Maybe she is a fresh 'import'

Colour

Expensive to run?

Servicing intervals .....

I should probably stop now ..........

She breaks down lots, but needs a damn good thrashing. I find her hard to start, maybe I should use some choke?

3-1-3 or 3-3?

3-1-3

it's almost mandatory nowadays, with the catalyzer expansion necessary to reach the pollution limits...

Well if the usual MV owners arent allowed to buy them,

the usual MV owner goes to the mech...
or, more likely, hires one...
