After doing the Waiouru adv ride this weekend my wife and I are on holiday in the King Country so it would be rude not to participate in the local trail rides. Is anyone interested in joining me?

Tuesday 9th 5pm Te Awamutu/Puahue
Sunday 14th Te Kuiti/Waipa
Tuesday 16th 1pm Maramarua

Check silver-bullet.co.nz for more details

I think I could probably be convinced to join you for the Maramarua ride.

I think I need to explain to your wife that you really need to spend more quality holiday time with her shopping and visiting art galleries and floral displays etc

I think you should leave the bike at home

why should you have it so good?

when my wife and I are away on holiday the word 'motorcycle' is taboo and the punishment for looking longingly at other people riding motorbikes is termination of conjugal rights

leaning into corners while driving the car is also frowned upon....

I have the maramarua ride on my list, just a wee warning, this may not be big bike friendly, some of the tracks are the ones used for the 3 day enduro and if it's wet its an absolute mud fest!
Anyway, look out for a white & orange 200 EXC with a skinny bald white guy hanging on for dear life.

I would be keen, but I need to be in the south island for a week sometime then. Will let you know when I work that out.

I should do this ride also. Loved it last time. Is it a power ride?

Yeah I’m a lucky man. My wife likes to read a lot of books and actually prefers me not being around all the time, bothering her apparently (when’s lunch etc). So to make her life happier I go trail riding - perfect :woohoo:

And Taz, great will probably see some KBers at Maramarua on their KTMs. The weather will be fine because I’m on holiday – famous last words.
