Ricor Intiminators. Google it.
Basically just drop em in and put the right oil in and instant improvement.
Front end of the klr is still crap, but a lot less crappy now.

200 Euros plus postage. Not a cheap "nearly fix" then.
I am not a good enough rider to get past the limits of the DR's suspension yet. Wish I was but those things ain't cheap.:shit:

I've been looking at these myself. Can't quite justify it at the moment because I've only gone past the front suspensions capabilities twice. Once on Cnut hill, and once pretending the 42nd traverse was a mx track. Both times I was pushing the limits of the big heavy pig (DR650) and over very rocky ground, and probably riding beyond the limits of the whole bike, not just the front suspension. Oh, I was very near the edge of my own ability also.
Shit it's fun though. :woohoo:

Good call. One day I'll upgrade the suspension on my DR650 by buying a (cough) ktm (cough).

Becomes cheaper when you realise you don't have to upgrade your springs ($100us) with these.

...just remember to chop 15mm off the spacers before dropping them in!

Ummm...
Shorten the spacers by the thickness of the Intiminators (15mm).

I didn't change my spacers. Thought about it long and hard but just couldn't decide whether it would help, hinder or make no difference so did nothing.

It'll raise the front 15mm and make it a bit harsher in the initial stroke - more effort to start the spring moving.
But easy to try and easy to change.

thepom, I have been looking at this for a while and have been holding off (pissing around I spose)
I can smell a group buy and save on shipping, I would be in .... maybe we can entice others with the smell of a saving?
Just an idea

Is that a bit risky? If Customs think you're trying to evade duty, you end up possibly having the lot confiscated.

Maybe $11 then, just keep it under the $400 lot will be fine!

With the AT the word is to just chuck em in.
there is nothing to cut 15mm off of ,just a long spring a washer and a short spring.
They also say to run zero air pressure which I did and recently I noticed it was getting a bit 'bouncy' specially on steep rocky uphills .
So I pressed the air valves and got a bit of a pfft out of them ,must remember to do that more than once per year :o I think they build a bit of pressure with time.
