There's a shit load of rain heading in according to the rain radar - that should help a lot. Hope there's not too much damage.

Jeez youre quick barty.

Its right in the middle at the back of the MX track from Spagetti juntion south. Just got home. Had 4 choppas in but had to let it burn as they couldn't fly due to visability.

Dunno the cause, but the rain is helping heaps. Its devastating for all of us.

Sandpit will be closed for a few days until notified. There is a trail ride on tho that we have full intentions of going on with. Go the rain.:woohoo:

Heard the local engines in town leave not often the siren sounds off 4 time thought it was odd the your son posted o FB. Not good news the hear. Guess itll be easy to put in some new tracks hopefully it wont cause to much disruption.

Hey Tony,

All the best with the aftermath with this incident. I hope owners/operators don't impose too many knee jerk changes as a result.

As long as you're open, we'll keep coming - every fortnight as usual.

I was up at the sandpit yesterday and even thought there are some parts closed off from the fire and some tree thinning there is still tons of space to play, I was shown tracks I'd never ridden before and had a solid 4 hours riding without repeating the same trail once.........still as good as ever!

I was told over summer, but it may be permanent.....

"300gm dry powder from Marine shops or we have aerosol ones
for $20." - from the sandpit themselves.

That's interesting, I was thinking about heading up there today with a mate who is a rural fire chief and asked what the cause was at Woodhill. He said there was still speculation. I guess it doesn't hurt having us with them on our bikes.

I was at the pit last friday, and they had run out of fire extinguishers, and I lost mine, well the young fella did while he was out riding that day.

Ill be there tomorrow.

All tracks open. Fire extinguishers are compulsory during summer but its at our discretion.
I don't really think its an issue this week as I'd have trouble lighting a fire with 10 gallons of petrol due to the amount of rain falling. So we won't be in forcing them tomorrow.

Still good to carry one in your kit tho as you never know when its needed.
