Took little bro's FXR 150 in for a wof and the headlight failed. The plastic protector (which is glued) onto the headlight has to come off as the headlight beam isn't bright enough.

Can the bulb be upgraded to make things brighter or does this plastic cover have to still come off? in which case how do I get that and the glue off without making a mess?

I recall my old ZX6R had a plastic cover on and the previos owner used velcro dots so it could be removed, but it was never an issue back in the day when I got it wofed.

I used a blade scraper like they use to remove WoF stickers on the windscreen to take them off the car, as they'd discoloured after 9 years, and then a solvent and rag on the residue.

I've got three headlights in the garage. If you are in the Auck area drop me a PM if you want one for cheap. Otherwise post in the parts wanted thread in the Buckets forum, headlight units must be cluttering up garages all over the country by now.
