Sigh... A beautiful sunny afternoon and I was out the back, looked through the garage door and just had to take a picture of a sad looking Boulevard. :bye:

The cobwebs just add to the mood... :innocent:

I feel your pain, lonely replacement bike in shed, not even been ridden yet since purchase. No cobwebs yet though.

What's your sad story as to why your not riding it?

(Fortunately the cobwebs are on the inside of the door and not on the bike.)

Not fun. I wrote my van off on oil and am still in a body-brace for a broken back. Been 6mths so far as I had to have an op 14wks later. Got a couple of impressive scars though... :innocent:

Rego on hold and insurance dropped to 3rd Party, Fire & Theft. Start it up occasionally and shed a wee tear... :bye: Got another 5wks in the brace and then all being well, into rehab and get fit for Summer cruising!

Looks like about another 6wks yet. But all going to plan, I should be good to go, (gently for while...) by about mid-Dec.

Thanks Mate! Have to admit my wife and caregiver keep me behaving myself, (mostly...:innocent:), as I'm so sick of the brace I just want to throw it out the window! I'm not allowed out of bed without it on.

We're not all hard men with hearts of stone. I'm as tough as anyone when necessary, but I am a romantic at heart. I write poetry and prose, enjoy classical music and song, drink the occasional wine, I'm soppy with my kids, but woe betide anyone who seeks to harm my family.

You'll give yourself an ulcer one day, relax and smell the flowers.

We've been babysitting our daughter's Doberman, Candy, for the weekend. Not a lot of sleep last night, Mrs. Bear had to let her out twice and in the end just left the laundry door open. She snores and farts, (Candy, not the Missus...) and is alert to every new sound! At 6:30am she decided ot was breakfast time and I eventually gave in at 7:30 and got my brace on and fed her.

She wolfed it down as though starving and then wanted my Weetbix! She then wanted to go walkies and hassled me until I thought if I don't take her out she'll bust outta her skin! She's just got so much energy! So leaving wife and son in their beds having a nice Sunday morning sleep-in... :bye: I got myself dressed and clipped Candy's lead on and off we went.

Now Candy is still a baby Doberman, just turned 1 year old, but she's 30kg already and I was taken by surprise at her strength! :gob: She was so excited, she just wanted to see everything and go everywhere all at once! I wondered how I'd get on in my current weak state had she really tried to get away! As it was, I had to take a couple Morphine tabs when I got back and go to bed. Hope I haven't tweaked my back too much... :innocent: So another beautiful sunny day and I'm in bed again...

Dobermans are beautiful dogs but they take a long time to mature and grow up!
Get a british bulldog - they are lazy and just want to chill out

 My husband is a hard man (to the outsider) but a softy underneath - as men should be! It is a masculine man that will give his wife a little kiss and a cuddle in front of the other men (be it at speedway or wherever).

And one of the best indicator's of his feelings and loyalty is his readiness to do so in front of other women... :msn-wink:

LOL!!! My daughter and son-in-law got her as a guard dog for their property as they run their business from home. She's a very rare "Blue Doberman" and worth a pocket full of gold as a breeder when the time is right. They've got Chino, their Papillion as their wee boy. He's about 2 now and a gorgeous dog. Thinks he's human!

Dogs and motorbikes....loyal and faithfull until the end.

Your bike awaits it's Master.

Sadly I had to put my awesome Dobermann down on Monday...he was an amazing dog but due to bad treatment in his first year, (not by me the previous owner), he had a bad habit of biting and had shown agression to children. I miss him very much...

Yeah, my wife does the same, it's sweet and of course I give her a hug in return, but the other way around and I tend to stand off a bit and watch. :innocent:

Take it easy aye it's not just the strength of the dog but how they change direction so fast, last thing you need is any more tweaks pulls or yanks on your back.

For sure! It's the sudden jerking on the lead and as you say change of direction. I was trying to hold her back but she was just too excited! My wife took her for another walk this afternoon and was exhausted by the time she got home!

She's a lovely natured dog and obedient, but boy is she strong! I felt a couple of pulls in my back and decided discretion was the better part of valour and headed homewards.
