This is a great general purpose heavy duty trailer which I have listed on TradeMe here http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=330269508

I have set reserve at $1,900 but would like to think the auction would fetch around $2,500 for this trailer as it cost around $4,500 new, specced as it is.

I set it up to haul three motorcycles at a time with flat strips of timber bolted to the floor of the deck making for easy set up and tie down. The floor level of this trailer is at a reasonably low height which made running the bikes up a simple timber plank ramp easy. The 8ft x 5ft size of deck meant it is a long enough trailer to have all bikes facing forward with two set forward and one set back with no clash of handlebars.

This trailer is surplus to my requirements since the passing of my dear brother as we don't haul three bikes together now so it is a bit of a waste leaving it sitting in my back yard when someone else could make good use of it at a good price compared to new.

I've attached an extra photo showing bikes on the trailer which I haven't put on TradeMe.

What else can I say about this trailer? Well seeing its hardly used tyres have nearly new tread depth, trailer is hot dipped galvanised, it tows well but because of its size its best on a largish vehicle - I mainly towed it with my 4 x 4.

I've set the auction to close next Sunday so check it out soon.

Cheers Clive, there is a bit of interest on TradeMe but no bids yet with auction closing on Sunday night.

Very Nice trailer Merv and I wouldn't mind it myself.

But for $2000 plus and a trip to Wellington and back...I will just rent some thing for $40-60 for a day when needed.

Goodluck with the sale.

Crazy Steve.

Thanks Crazy Steve, nothing wrong with be a prudent cheapskate even though you'd miss the wonderful trip to the Capital. Basically its why I've put it up for sale I'm not doing enough kms with it to make it worth keeping. Mind you, you only need to come as far as Porirua.

Sold no problem on TradeMe on Sunday so trailer has gone to new owner.
