IS this karts only? Or are Buckets invited?

Seems like a great idea to start at a reasonable time for once.

If so who's coming??

What? Who? Haven't heard anything about this yet. Was it in a newsletter?

well they mentioned it at the last meeting. The harriers or manic walkers or someone was using the clubrooms but they they were having a twilight meeting after that. On a saturday.

Can someone with contact details confirm & post back? Then maybe send the email list thing around that Bayden used to. Lets get some racing in!!!

There is an email list...? I'm assuming I don't miss any bucket events anyway.

I have sent an email off and I am waiting for a reply on details.

F5 Dave

Well Bayden used to send around emails & had a list, I could probably cobble one from an old mail where he had them all visible, but don't know how up to date it would be. But us KBers seem to think we're an island, not everyone logs into KB all the time. An email might catch a few more. Maybe Fishe has a copy or could contact Bayden?

"Hi Hamish

Yes of course you are invited

It is a normal clubday but just on a Saturday this time

Wayne"

"Scrutineering will be from 11.00am to 11.30am and we will hope to have the first karts out on the track for there tuning runs at 11.45am".

"His worship the Mayor of Upper Hutt Wayne Guppy will be joining us at 11.00am on clubday this Saturday to officially open the track and all the new improvements that have been made. Please extend a warm welcome to the Mayor and his team who will be visiting us for a look around."

Lets give the mayor a good show. We need crashes, wheelies and dodgy passing.

I hope to show up to this but I am pretty pushed for time at the moment with exams.

Hi Everyone

NOVEMBER CLUBDAY

Clubday this month is this coming SATURDAY 13 November. This will be a normal clubday and we will be running in the clockwise direction. Scrutineering will be from 11.00am to 11.30am and we will hope to have the first karts out on the track for there tuning runs at 11.45am. Please do not arrive at the track before 10.45am, the Upper Hutt Harriers are using our facilities from 7.00am through to about 10.30am so there will be no where for you to set up. Also there is NO PRACTICE on the Saturday morning prior to clubday as the Harriers are there. At the end of racing there will be a BBQ at the clubrooms with a few refreshments and time to sit on the deck and enjoy the late afternoon sun. Cost of the BBQ will be $5.00 per person. Duty class for the day is Junior drivers and there helpers so please help with setup and tidy up at the end of the day

10th November 2010, 07:59
Well I'm going, I've got it planned in. Should be Shweet!

C'mon Hamish you need a study break as long as you study before & after then you are blowing off steam without losing time. What else will you do? get turpsed on sat night & write off sunday? This racing lark might even improve your grades:yes:.

F5 Dave
10th November 2010, 08:16
For the sake of it I sent out a spam email to the last list that was floating around. Hopefully that should get some numbers in for a cool day.

Wairoa? yer kidding? I try not to even stop there for gas. I made the mistake of staying at the campsite when I ran out of daylight & going for a walk in town to look for food. Never again.

Yeah, Malcolm and I are out to. No bike ready and no transport to get it there kind of ruins the point.... Hopefully you'll get the numbers, bummed I won't be out there.

I can pick you up on the way if you get something going, txt us if so.

F5 Dave
11th November 2010, 14:05
Well Fishie Hamish & me will be doing battle even if the sharp end is down a couple of people.

I've sent out emails to the list so hopefully we'll get an ok turnout.

Weather looking good & a barbie afterward. Should be a good day.

I'm leaving early from another appointment to make sure I'm here.

Make an effort guys, we don't get good weather & a stella track like this every day.

Don't want the kart guys to think it isn't worth having us.

Yeah it's kinda funny how the last (counting this weekend coming) 2 fine days at Kaitoke for bucket racing, we have only had 3 people showing up. Hopefully they don't think we deserve the cut! If anyone wants to lend bikes out to 2 of my mates who race at manfeild, they could help bring the numbers up haha. Definitely A grade riders, they will be riding with me in the enduro.

I'd love to be there. It all depends if I can get the bike finished and my boss is in a good mood. It would be great to get out on the track on a nice day as the last 3 meets I've been at the weather hasn't been great.

You guys still gonna show up? The weather is pretty average. I want to race, but I have to admit that I am getting very sick of riding in the rain.

It was spitting the whole day but there was literally not a single puddle on the track! Was slippery but completely dry. Would have been an excellent day of racing had more people showed up. There were 4 of us that went out.

Practice & 1st race were actually passably dry. Got a bit slippery after that.

pretty sure now that my group email I sent didn't get past work's mail Marshall, would have seen it as spam redirection through our domain & nuked it.
