Stolen bike recovered but ignition is ruined

Hey guys long time lurker first time poster.

My motorbike was stolen the other week and the ignition barrel was completely smashed off and will need to be completely replaced.
Is it worth heading into a proper motorcycle place? Or just getting a locksmith etc cheers.
