Booked for Sunday.
Anyone been around with a set of Pilot Pure's on ? - Wondering what pressures to run.

People have (although I haven't spoken to them directly) but like on the road, they're pretty sensitive to pressure, weak side wall is evident if the pressure is too low. You might just have to start with the regular 30/30 and work from there. See how it feels.

I'll tell ya after friday, I'm doing the sbk school,, and I can't be bothered changing to race tyres so I'm gonna run the pures....but on the road I run 'em 5psi more than what I normally use...so I'd probably start at 35psi and see how ya go from there.

No point running race tyres anyway, the pures would be more suitable to a CSS day.
Shame I cant make the school days this time round.

I ran 33psi both ends, worked well at that, and didn't get chewed up either, but remember the 10 is probably a bit lighter than the beemer.
Most of the day wasn't at full pace tho, but the 2nd last was close, and the last was pretty much full pace.

Cheers dude.
I normally run 35 and 40 on the road. Last track day with a sport attack front and M3 rear I was at 30 and 30.
The Pures do feel a bit softer.
BMW say 190KG dry weight so around 15-20kg more depending on which specs you believe.
I've also got about 50 -60 hp less so the rear should have an easier time of it.

Stunner of a day.
I think the green group started with 10 or 12 and was down to 6 for the last two sessions.
Pretty much had the track to myself - well whenever someone wasn't going past me haha.
Bike was a pig to turn in the first session but a few tweaks to the front end and it was much nicer to ride.
Now just have to tighten up the control unit (me !) to make up another 10 seconds a lap.
For the anyone interested in the Power Pure's I ran 33 front and rear. They felt good at both ends from first lap to last and they have worn well.
Track temp was scorching.
I was able to brake traction out of the 2nd gear corners but it was a nice predictable slide, nothing nasty.
Bring on the next one.

I'm keen to see pics as well. There was a photographer on Saturday taking pics from from our T1 marshall point and presumably other points around the track. I have no idea where they have been posted though.
