I have a Moto Guzzi California. When cornering to the right at slow speeds the bike seems to 'catch' when straightening up. It is a bit nerve racking for a split second. It seems like the steering damper is catching on something. Just a visual check it looks OK. Where the polished steel bar disappears into the cyclinder there is movement. It is not a tight fit. Should there be movement? Do these dampers 'wear out? Can they be serviced or is replacement the way to go? Any help will be appreciated before I start to dismantle things myself!
