Taking photos of bikes? On what planet, do the police have jsutification to take photos of my bike during a routine traffic stop?

There may be a good reason, which I'm looking forward to hearing, but I can't see it yet.

The same justification you have for taking a photo of any other person/ vehicle in a public place. Carry your camera and return the favour.

Good point, hadn't thought of that. In fact I got all Paparazzi on a couple of cops in a highway patrol car a couple of months back who gatecrashed our Reclaim the Capital V8 cruise. Scared 'em off quicksmart.

Nope. You need a video camera and you need to make a Steve Irwin type running commentary while you're filming.

I was working on Queen charlotte drive about 10 k from picton yesterday and a heap of patched up badd ass bikers came through headed for havelock, i Didn't recognise the flag the were flying on the leaders bike (was too far away) but it WAS red and white, maybe they had something to do with it.
By the way watch out for campervans on the wrong side of the road, i had a quiet word with some germans about that today after many kms of unbeleivably dodgy driving on a windy ass road, KEEP LEFT, they had no idea what I was talking about.

Hmmmm..... I think I saw the same mob on the side of the road in Motueka yesterday as I rode home.
They must been having a disco on the side of the road or sumat, cause there was 3 or 4 cars with flashy lights on top at the same place :shit:

The Wellington Police have always used the ferry terminal as a way to target OMGs. The filthy little drug peddling scumbags deserve all the attention they get. Photographing their bikes is all part of intel gathering and checks made on the bikes no doubt.

Good on the police for slamming the gangs as much as they can. Personally I would like to see more bulldozers used to door knock on their gang pads.

I told you it was all about the revenue, and scumbags have gotta make a living to.
