This is my second bike, I've owned it for 4 1/2 years and have done about 54,000km on it.

I haven't been using it much this year and find myself in need of a bike more suitable for carrying a pillion :D, so I am going to put my SV650S back on the road instead of just using it as a track bike and ride that.

It has done about 102,000km although this might go up a little 'cause I'll keep riding it till it sells.

It has reasonably new tyres (Sport Demons), done about 2000km. A new battery put in around May this year, new air filter at 94,000km, clutch plates at 75,820km, front discs have been replaced and have only done about 12,000km, chain and front sprocket replaced 1520km ago (with regular lubing the last chain lasted about 50,000km!).

It has after market (sonic springs) 0.85kg/mm fork springs and a GSXR1100 rear shock which suits me (about 83kg) better than the stock soft springs and shock. I think the GSXR1100 shock's nitrogen has leaked out a bit though, I've represurized it once in the past with a bicycle shock pump and it improved things, it feels good enough to me at the moment, anyone interested can test ride it and decide for themselves. I still have the stock fork springs and rear shock if wanted.

The lever/actuator at the clutch end of the cable has been lengthened slighty to make the clutch easier to pull because I've had trouble with sore tendons in my hand in the past. I have a spare lever/actuator thing so this could be changed back if desired.

I've checked the valve clearances 400km ago, only one of the valves needed any adjustment (clearance was 0.152, was adjusted to 0.127, the range is from 0.10-0.15 for the inlets).

The oil was changed at 101,961km (on 12/11/2010).

According to my compression gauge, the compression is a bit low, but I'm not sure how accurate the gauge is. It does show the compression is fairly equal over the 4 cylinders and the compression reading hasn't changed in the time I've owned the bike. The bike has a fairly big flat spot when it's cold, but this isn't so bad when it's warmed up and it starts easy enough if it hasn't been sitting around for weeks.

It does about 17km/L.

It's been dropped several times, but only minor damage (engine side covers and a slight scrape to the frame which has been bogged and painted from before it had the frame sliders).

I have maintenance logs for the time I've owned the bike and an electronic copy of the workshop manual.

Rego expires 4/4/2011, WOF expires 22/06/2011.

If I can think of anything else, I'll add it later.

I'd like $1200 ono for it.

I also have a wrecked bandit 400 I bought for spare parts, the forks, wheels, rear shock, front calipers and maybe a few other bits are useable. I think the engine is fairly stuffed, the lower half of the crankcase is damaged and the two side covers are ones that I've tried to repair/reinforce but which leaked slightly. I'd like $150 for it, but will wait till after the bandit's sold before getting rid of it in case the buyer wants both.

Another photo showing the faded/damaged paint on top of the tank - not really visible in the other photos:

Good to se you've had a decent use out of it. Whats oil usage like Erik? It's probably something a prospective buyer may like to know.

I don't think it burns any (or very little), I may have topped it up a small amount once or twice between changes, but that was when I had the leaky crankcase side cover on it. I haven't done many km's since changing the crankcase cover but I'm pretty sure it uses little or no oil.

Why is this so cheap?

Why is this so cheap?

Because 400cc isn't a popular size, it's fairly old and has quite a few km's on it, and maybe I'm a bit impatient...?
