I have been riding on an off for about a year now and still consider myself a newbie. I had an off early this year and didn't ride for about 3 months but well back into my daily commute now the weather is better.
My problem is that my bike didn't start this morning. The green neutral light went on as expected. when I hit the ignition button the first turn that the engine\starter makes is really slow, like its trying really hard to turn over while doing this the neutral light dims a bit. After that it turns much quicker but does not catch (start). I checked the spark plug last night and gave it a clean, it was a little grubby but not too bad. Usually I have to give the bike a bit of choke to start but that didn't work. I have ensured that the battery was charged before hand also.
I am going to double check the gap on the spark plug tonight but I suspect that there is another problem. The fact that it really struggles to turn over is what concerns me.
Any help will be appreciated.
