OK, here's the thing.

I would sell this bike, even though I really like it. Its a great for "keep your licence" speed road riding, it is fantastic on shitty little tarseal roads, handles well on a shingle road, comfortable two up, looks good and sounds good.

Its got a LOT of fruit on it, too: not just window dressing but the stuff that makes a good bike great:

fork springs and emulators from RaceTech/CKT
Ohlins shocks (non remote reservoir)
Thunderbike pipes
K & N airfilter and re-jet to suit
carrier sissy bar thing.
Renthal bars.
bash plate and oil filter screen.

It comes with a 19T front sprocket I havent gotten round to fitting yet (stop you looking for sixth gear at 110kph....)

Chain and sprockets good, new front tyre, rear tyre is about 3000km old. Reg and wof till June next year. might be later.

If its so good, why would I sell it? Two reasons: my partner is short, and the exhaust pipes are at their widest where her leg goes. so she sits slightly skewed on it and its bad for her back. Plus I really like the (wait for it) dirt path, and so am quite committed to getting a DR650 or something like that. An actual off roader. And if I have an actual offroader, I dont need this and can get a more road or touring oriented bike (or a Street Triple).

But I could also quite happily ride it for the rest of the summer and probably the next as well. But if anyone wants to buy it then I'll probably sell it.

I am just testing the waters. Not super keen to list on tardme with their fees and the level of fuckwits there.

I might also be interested in a part trade or something. Or not. whatever.

Oh, and it will come with all the original parts as well.

The photos show it with the original pipes and stuff. If there is any interest I will add a couple as it sits today.

You can see why I was never in sales, huh?

they're an awesome bike and seriously considered one for myself. It's hard to ride a Scramber and not end up with a big shit eating grin.

Absolutely true. I would keep it AND the dirt bike AND the street triple, and the Guzzi tourer AND the Daytona trackday bike, but, well, you see the problem......

They are not the bestest two up bike. I fixed that by buying my wife a bike as well.:yes::yes:

I know where you are at, I'm saving for a DR 650. The Scram is a keeper

If you decide to sell bits separately I'd be interested in the Thunderbike exhaust.

Good luck.

Fricken tell me about it - looks like my RF auction has fallen through. Kid made the final bid, apparently.

I agree with Trustme - get the wife her own.

True dat.
They will have to scrape my decomposing carcass away from my one.
HDC, with all due respect, I think you have a couple of sheep loose in the top paddock.
You'll look back on the future sale as one of those moments you'd rather forget.

Hmmmmm

broached the subject with SWMBO this morning "Have you got rocks in your head? You love that bike"

"I'm doing it for you my sweet"

"Fuck off, you're just bored: buy another project bike or something"

Food for thought there.
