What spring are you running now IRI?

Just watch it a bit guys when I got new springs in my 08. My old spring form the 03 bike wasn't able to be used because of different spring rates/angles.
Pretty sure the 03 one is a straight rate and I went with a progressive anyway.
Bloody lucky I couldn't be honest about my fat arse and lied to Danger with the intention of losing some weight and getting fitter as I've lost about 10kg now. I actually called him today and Luckily my progressive PDS 0 spring will do down to 82 kg's? So thank goodness for that as a new progressive is about $400 now I hear???

Anyway just a warning, a spring out of an 07 bike for a say 100kg rider its wrong for the 08 model revision chassis for the same rider you need a different calc to get the right rate spring for it?? Different shock angle and leverage I think it was??

The 69 is stock, I have one spare too...I went one up to the 72 on the rear and from 44 to 46? on the front.

Cheers! Ordering an Enduro Engineering one of a mate for $219, they're supposed to be very good. Gillard runs them so I'm told.

Hi Mate
things to note when changing the rear spring on any bike. Yes KTMs are under sprung for most riders weight. Springs effect the ride height so yes you need heavier springs. How ever that is only the first step in getting your bike handling well. Stock valving is way to light and causes it to 'blow through' when hitting any bumps. by fitting a a heavier rear spring you are masking the problem but not fixing it. Also, by fitting a heavier rear spring its going to transfer more weight to the front fork, making this even softer than it already is! which makes your bike unstable and the front end is going to fall into any bump and dive really bad under breaking, Horrible! For best results you need springs and a revalve. If you weigh 85kg on a 300EXC, you would want 7.2 rear and .46 front springs. thats my advice. PS. New KTM shock springs arn't Cheap! racepaceservices.co.nz
