Honda CBR 600RR (2006), stolen ~ 11:43am this morning, from Tournament Car Park (Kyber Pass Rd, Newmarket, AKL). Rego starts: 91Y**

Bike is my daily rider. Its done 19,600km, and is very distinctive with dayglow orange front fairings / tank, silver bellypan, and black rear fairings. I have only ever seen one other bike with this colour scheme (which is Taupo-based and seen on MotoTT days). Apart from a barely visible paint scuff on left-rear fairing, bike is mint. Has BBB crashbungs on fairing, rear bobbins (with bungs) for paddock stand, and a Ventura packrack 'grip' on it. Has about 1/2 depth tread Pilot Road 2CT's (no flatspot).

Other than above, bike is has no motor/exhaust mods, and is stock. It has had significant internal suspension mods via CKT, though no CKT stickers (which I hadnt advised through to insurance company. Let that be a lesson!)

Bike was parked on 2nd level of building, in a fairly visible place, with a front disc-lock. It would appear from the carpark video, that bike was tossed into a non-descript white van, driven by someone in a white shirt, and of non-caucasian origin. The van then ran the carpark barrier to exit.

White Van Rego **5666 (could be Q's or O's). Unforunately, the most likely rego is attached to a Mazda RX7, so it would appear that this was not an opportunistic event.

Getting hold of the vid from the carpark people tomorrow. Unfortunately its fairly horrible, but the attendant saw them break the exit barrier, and got the rego that way.

These are some pics I took of the video:

Bastards! What's worse is that there will be scum who will buy it, or the parts, knowing they are stolen and not giving a shit.

Mate, I hope your insurance doesn't shaft you and doesn't muck about too long.

What's the point of security camera if they're so blurry you can't even see the number plate?

Whas a point of security gate if you can drive van thru it & and whats the point of attendant sitting in a booth if he cannot read number plates properly(not that it matters as likely stolen plates)...

Dumb aye, surely that is the reason for filming stuff. Sorry about the bike, looks very nice, hope it comes back in the same condition.

I guess the other alternative hope would be that when he rolls it out the back it falls on the twat... :bash:

Why? Your taxes would pay to fix his injury and for ACC to run his rehab.

Sonofabitch

Hanging's too good for these arseholes.

Will keep my peepers peeled.

Any chance the cameras picked them up touching anything else (fingerprints, etc)??

fuck man. thats really shit.
i really hope the vdeo turns up something of use to you.
an cash reward of an undisclosed amount, highlighting the bikes value to you might prompt someone to nark the cunt out, slim, but worth a shot if you post any pictures you have. might also help to see if anyone can modify the image or clean it up a bunch, my wedding photographer is pretty ace at doing that, so that could also be a worthwhile avenue of investigation.

also, dont put a whole lot of faith in the cops making much effort either. do what you can yourself.

I assume your bik is parked in the same place regularly? i would suggest getting copies of the tapes from the last week, and see if you can pick up someone scouting the bike or the area in the tapes. gaurantee you the cops will not have the time to do this, but on a matter of principle, if it increases the chance of catching the cunts, Id suggest you give it a shot.

best of luck, and please keep us updated

That really sucks man, sorry to hear this. Have you tried regos with the second letter a D, looks like something like PD to me.
Will keep an eye out for it in the city, but if they are that organised it is unlikely to remain within the area.

This is just getting ridiculous, if they are doing it in broad day light, in front of cameras etc and still getting away with it. I hope the bastards get caught

I think when one parks in a parking complex one does so at one's own risk. NO liability, but then that is the way of the world, all blame and no liability!

Thieving scum.

Will keep an eye out down this way. A bike like that wouldn't pass me by without demanding some attention.
