We have this gascraft shower dohickey, i can get the pilot lit no problems and following the instructions you hold the knob in to get the pilot going, to light the main burner you release the knob then turn to warm or hot BUT when you release the knob the pilot goes out. this unit has been replaced 3 times by the supplier soon to be 4 has anyone else had one or know of problems??. I think it may be a faulty batch as they all have the same problem

I assume you are holding the pilot knob in for the required 20 to 30 seconds for the pilot to energize the flame failure device, before turning it to warm.Or you could possibly not be pressing the knob in far enough.

I assume you have water flowing through it so the flame has something to heat???
Just a thought.

yea holding the knob properly, let pilot burn for 30 seconds before trying, knob wont go in any further and to light main burner you have to let the knob out which kills the pilot, water flowing fine

hmmm...you could try packing the hole in the pilot knob with a little paper, this would make the spindle on the valve travel a bit further inwards, the knob could be hitting the casing and not let the spindle push on the electromagnet......
Can you take a pix of the control panel?

Who's the retailer? Surely you could give them a rev or get another unit.
