Hmm... Large greyhound on my gas tank is kinda unco to ride.
Anyone have a dog seat system for a motorbike? I use to get my massive fat lab on my 125cc scooter...
I don't see why I can't ride on a sports bike with my greyhound. :shit:
Or this is just a bad idea for me and my dog.

I still have a gorgeous photo of "Max" sitting proudly in his sidecar on his owners Indian, from a pink ribbon ride a couple of years ago; also Harley the fluffy bunny who rides in a specially adapted topbox on the back of his owners scooter.
How you would ride with a fat lab on your scooter I have no idea! Our beloved old boy (also a large lab cross) would have been a major pain to try and fit onto either of our bikes, although we have photos of him sitting on the seat of the Burgman looking very happy.

I used to see a guy around Christchurch with a little white terrier sitting between his feet on his scooter. The wee fella looked pretty excited about the commute!
As for a Greyhound? I'm sure our big gangly mouse would love the experience but as you say, where to fit him?
You'd need leather headgear and 'Biggles' goggles at a minimum:yes:
What I really want for our greyhound is this http://www.rockstar-puppy.com/dog-rider-jockey.html

Riding to work one day a guy pulled up next to me on I think it was a GS1200 Suzuki. He looks across at me, and exclaims 'You've only got one arm!'. I look back at him, and with a look of surprise reply, 'And you've got a dog on your tank!'. It was a very interesting conversation.
What he had was a custom made tank pouch for his bike. I didn't stop long enough to look at it but it was basically a large sock. He said that he had been doing it since he was a puppy (the dog, not the rider) but now it was a nuisance as every time he got his gear ready to go for a ride the dog wouldn't let him go without him.
Think about what you are getting yourself into lol.

I have one of these: http://www.beastriders.com/products/beastriders/ It works but takes me a while to get on the bike and get the dog in the 3 point harness.
However this is easier. Put him in and go.

I would probably not carry a large dog on the tank, sounds like an accident waiting to happen.

I think I ended up paying about $NZ 900 by the time I paid freight and exchange. The supplier was brilliant to deal with, worth while calling them. If you want a med size my one is not being used and could be for sale.
I made a couple of special nuts on the fender of my road king thet the thing clips onto.
