Pretty simple poll reeeeeeely....
And as a sub question, if you do live with another biker, are they riding something similar, or something totally different? (see pic of my Kwaka and SlashWylde's Virago).

Need a "Not yet, but we're working on it" option for the poll. strayjuliet is in the midst of learning to ride (hampered by lack of bike) and wants to get licensed, get her own wheels to go through the graduated licences and then she wants an Indian - Scout or Spirit.

Like Lou I live with a pillion - but she had her fullbike licence before I did (like in 1973!!) - but now she wants MY bike and wants me to get and a Superglide or similar!!
Although realistically she would accept the XN85 - when I get around to get it running...

Used to. But he quit riding due to the heat and lousy traffic. He said he was getting to old to ride anymore so he sold me his bike.

I am devising plans to get him back into it as soon as he gets here though.

Caught my mom eyeing my bike when she was here today. Almost suggested taking her for a ride. She doesn't want to ride her own though she's happy being pillion. She tried riding the rebel once and damn near put it through the fence.

Also trying to get my brother into it but he's a stubborn little jock. Says real men drive cars. Told him he's being a conformist, a cow in the herd. That shut him up.

nope, but loving it soo much, that I reckon it'll only be a matter of time before I get my dad back into it (rode as a 20 year old)

even mum says she doesn't mind dad getting one... maybe when I upgrade he'll want mine, then he'll probably want something else, and he'll be hooked :devil2:

my ex used to have a bigger bike than me but the fact that she is my ex shows that for some of us there are other things more important than bikes  . The love of my life who I haver been with for 7 years "hates" bikes and reckons she would never go on one ( could have something to do with her ex having a Hardly that he worshipped more than her ) but supported me decision to get back into it again and actually found the bike I have now

Both myself and partner (Draco) ride,my gixxer(when I can get her off it....)and she has a CBR400.
I've lived with bikers for a while,Tiller lived with me for a while,as did another mate with a vfr750,and before that I lived with a good mate who rode a beastly gpz1100,then a rf900.

If we are counting neighbors then there is a kid down the street from me who rides a cbr600. Another guy has a heritage softail. And apparently there is a Lycanthrope (sp) at the top of the hill with a broken LS400...

Half a dozen little scooters aswell.

Get her on here and I'll have a chick-to-chick chat.

The dog is the only other in my house and he struggles sitting on the back of the 636 :) Told him he could have the scoot but scoffed at the suggestion.

My now ex never really got my bike obsession. New man thinks it sexy ;)

Neighbours....people in the same street...same suburb....Dammit now I'm starting to wonder where the biker centres of the country are...and in my own selfish Dorklander way, where in Auckland they are.....hmmmm......wouldn't it be Kool with a captial "K" to have a map of NZ with colours denoting the concentration of KB'ers around the country?

My neighbour is an ex cop biker.. motat volunteer etc etc (I'm an ex volunteer.. might be back there now I have something to ride). He had an american market 'accidentally debaffled ;)' Suzuki GS750, (I think) all I can remember is that it had a gsx750 engine in it.. nuts.

Some others up the road: Kb member Boomer (cbr600), and a random on a vfr400 etc.

Wish I lived with someone who had a bike.. would be to do 'bike talk' at random times of the day :D

Beemer
15th June 2005, 11:01
We currently have six bikes between us, so I guess that puts us in the affirmative! Our neighbour has a couple of farm bikes he's teaching his teenage daughters to ride, plus there is another Beemer, a KTM and a Guzzi down the road a bit.

Hey Deb, good to see you've taken up bikes - I thought I recognised that car from your profile! Rallying and bikes, what a combination, eh!

Does she ride the HD? If so, do you ever ride pillion?

No-one else in the house rides; #2 son has talked about it, but has no money.
Wife pillions when she feels like it.
None of my family ride, although my (deceased) father used to. There are a couple of other bikes in the suburb, but that's it. Mebbe I should move... It would stop the neighbours getting frowny when I take the restrictor out of the Satantune. :devil2:

Biff
15th June 2005, 16:28
Ms Biff had her first ever go at riding a bike on the weekend, courtesy of R1Aaron. She rode a Suzuki 300 (something) a few times around a field, and loved every minute of it. As a bonus I've not got permission to buy an off roader for us both.

I'm still trying to work out whether this is a good or a bad thing.

but my ex hubby didn't like riding that much *HORROR* except if you count mountain-biking

But the rest of my family digs it: my dad and both my younger sisters ride, altho only my dad has a bike at present...and THAT is only slightly passible as being bike actually going, given the lack of things to make it go, like WOF, rego etc... c'mon pops get the thing together, you need to be coming to some rally's with us!
