ok so i have an old farm quad and the front brakes are hopeless, the pads are fine the drums are not crash hot . i went to bleed them tonight and they have no air in them but the brake always feels spongy and you always gotta pump them for them to even just work ? any ideas what i could try next ? drums are pretty bad but i dont think thats the real problem ? maybe the booster at the handle bars is stuffed ?

i take it these are hydraulic drum brakes if so check the cylinders pull the boots back you may find they are leaking if so replace them and all should be good.
