I got a fine for parking on the footpath, $40, I was out of everyones way but must have got a warden on his bad day.
Meh, my bad I accepted it and moved on.
Called up today to ask how to pay for that and they're like "oh would you like to also pay for your two $200 fines for having no rego"
I was like what the FAAAARK!? :gob: My rego expired and I rode my bike for about 3 days after and parked in town on two of those days. But I didn't get any notification of it, 1) left on my bike or 2) in the mail. :violin:
It's been sitting there unnoticed by me for 3 and a half months now
I'll man up and pay cos I knowingly rode without my rego, but ffs you have to watch out these days!

Bastards!!
I got one for parking on the footpath when I first got the RF and took it to work. Parked with 3 other bikes (which were always there) and we all got tickets.
Fricken gutted.

So those bastards can give you tickets without you even knowing! That's just so wrong!!

I think they are supposed to leave the ticket somewhere safely on the bike. My footpath parking fine was left wrapped around the stem of my mirror with a bit of tape holding the ticket onto itself.
If they put tape on the paint or any part of my bike I'd be pissed off

:ar15: urgh parking wardens.
If it is not in the way can't see the problem or does it mean you don't pay and display? I parked in a parking bay in a shopping mall (no place else), right in the middle of the bay so I did not end up "sharing it" with a car, bike could have got in though:yes:, and actually got glared at by a driver (no spaces left I guess) as though I should not be taking up all that space. Bike specific parking seems to be at a premium everywhere.

I had a guy in a Holden with a trailer start hurling abuse at me for daring to fill my bike at a petrol station and taking up space a car should be using when I should have been filling it from a petrol container at home.
I then filled the bike from empty as slowly as the pump allowed whilst giving him a big grin.:devil2:
Had a rather long chat with the attendant too... He thought it was rather funny.

I agree with him, after all if you are allowed to fill it up with Petrol, heck you might decide to ride it on HIS road!!!!:gob: Some "people" need help aye:facepalm:
Did the big grin bring on a case of apoplexy or heart failure for the Holden driver?

Fuel Rage  It must be going around at the moment :innocent: Had an incident in Whangerei recently where guy in a red car with a trailer, same thing, He thought I should go away as he wanted to fill his car up first  It got to the stage I was so concerned for my safety (this guy was peaking big time) I walk off inside and refused to leave until he had.:shit: Bike is insured, Im not
His parting shot? Well apparently as a red neck, homo, BMW rider I shouldn't have been in his town
Which raises the question? OK he could see I was on a beemer, but ....... which one of you bastards told him I was a red neck homo? :violin:

Petrol Rage...must be a North Island thingy
sorry to hear about the surprise fines, that would be really off pissing. Having a fine to pay isn't the greatest at all but to get two extra ones as well, yeah, I'd be a bit annoyed about that. Wonder what happened to the originals?

I had that last week. I responded by squeezing the pump handle for 1 second, every 5 seconds while staring straight at him. He asked me what the fuck I was doing and I said, well seeing as you've parked so close to me and the pump I'm still using the attendant has switched the pump to manual, this is the only way i can get the gas out. His little brain exploded, and he exclaimed, fuck I don't have time to do that, I'm completely empty, and then he took off. Ha!

Technically only police can issue an infringement for no rego or W.o.F... parking wardens don't have the authority. I have never paid no rego fine yet that was issued by a parking warden
But most people pay it and can't be bothered with and thats how they get away with it...

I thought it came down to city bylaws or something? No - the rules are national. But Parking Wardens may only operate within the region of the Local Road Controlling Authority that appointed them.

So you can out-run a parking warden and lose them at the border?? Cool. :woohoo:
