Asking on behalf of a mate, he crashed his bike and bent the frame, does anyone know where to source a frame? He has been told its not worth straightening.
Thanks

Try ringing bikebusters (http://yellow.co.nz/companies/Motorcycles-Parts-&-Accessories/Bike-Busters-Motorcycle-Wreckers/102691132_15094.html)
Or you can ask him on trademe http://www.trademe.co.nz/Members/Listings.aspx?member=1631565

No insurance, I presume?
What are the legalities of changing a frame? Does it need to be certed?

no, no insurance
im not sure who told him it cant be fixed, he was gonna write the thing off, bit of a shame considering it was a tidy bike before the crash, shouldnt be too hard to find one with a grenaded engine for parts?
thanks for the link, but doubt hes gonna be too keen paying 500-1500 to straighten his frame, we were kinda expecting to pick up a wrecked one for a couple hundy

As far as I know ( and this is just off the top of my head ) it will need to be re-vinned or something along those lines.
( Helpful I know.)

No it won't be too hard to find one I think but I'd say you would be looking at more than a couple of hundred bucks.
