Help! I'm trying to make a CD tower for a Christmas present.
All is going beautifully except I can't find anyone who stocks the plastic inserts like these. Been to all the usual suspects...Mitre 10, Placemakers etc...does any one know where I can get them, my tower is going to be pretty but useless without them!

Can you not make one with shelves? They hold more and don't require silly plastic inserts.:shutup:

Tis already designed and made to use those inserts. I had a source for the inserts, but he has gone awol...

What are the measurements of that one? How many CD's does it hold?
I could maybe adapt my plans....

That one holds 30 cd's per shelf x 8. Internal shelving measures 325mm x 137mm.

Ask and ye shall recieve,have a few at work me thinks,was cleaning a few shelves and thought hmmm,they look like what ya mite want.

Try furniture hardware suppliers. They supply the industry and probably will have more luck through them.
"Media storage" is a good search term to use.

Tried the various plastic retailers? I got some of these from Plastic Box when they were in Porirua (now known as storage box http://www.storagebox.co.nz/ ) but that was a while ago

That was the first place I tried, but alas, they don't even exist here anymore....


Thanks for the replies guys, I will try and nail down the guy at school today who was supposed to get them for me last week, but at least I now have some options....
