Just confirmed a new VFR1200 KR test bike for next week.

Would like to do some old V new shots for the mag.

Thinking about an dusk-ish photo shoot somewhere in town.

Any players?

Any VFR welcome.

Have already done a test on a '10 model so the new one would work well with a history/riders perspective.

Look for the mid next week - will check the weather closer before nominating a time.

can you do one down here for us welly vfr's - it's not too windy or cold or even mildly damp . . .

Big Dave

Won't have the time - but If you can get a few together and take a snap I'd be interested in running it.

Is there a reason you want to photograph the new one at dusk?

And is it cos looking at the new one in broad daylight runs the risk of turning whoever looks at it to stone??

We have a few weeks deadline-wise for Wellywoods.

Test bike not so long.
Looking at the Akl forecast it's on Wednesday, meet under the big boat, Viaduct Harbour at 7.30pm.

That exhaust ....

That exhaust .... :sick:How would you economically build a streamlined catalytic convertor/muffler with plenty of ground clearance? Surely the triangluar shape is the most logical? Some of the exhaust touches are nice... have a look through the right hand side fairing vents, nicely placed to show off the header pipes. Development doesn't stop for Luddites.

That exhaust ....

The exhaust doesn't bother me much - simply because it's a easy change.

That front end is what gets me. I'm sure it's a very capable bike, and the rider doesn't have to look at it, but Ye Gods.

I'm sure I'd get sick of being asked to park round the back of the pub.

Who's going to bring the cheese!? Honda riders's I guess?

Photo's on its left side looks very sleek and clean. That is big muffler... think that it been chrome stands out more, if it was brushed alloy etc it may blend in with the bike and not look so big?. It catchs your eye every time

Have you noticed during that ad, at the end ol' Slighty's going "....and get one on one training, from me..." and the caption comes up in two stages.

Aaron Slight, World Superbike star

For a limited time

Fucking gold.

Don't watch TV man... is it a competition linked to the VFR1200? Or is he open for hire? I asked the HRC guys about it, but never heard back. Bit shit there training day with him was cancelled, don't think I'll bother renewing my membership... I mean what does it offer??

You lucky prick.

Nope, you buy a new VFR1200 and you get Aaron Slight tell you how to ride the thing.

How do I contact him? Presumably he must have a typical price for teaching 2 or 3 noobs for a morning?

/edit: When and where has this ad been on? I could get the PS3 to record a few hours of tele if it's on at a regularish time.

Don't bother, it's not a particularly good ad. Just a boring VFR1200 riding along and then a dude wearing Castrol Honda leathers sitting one one stationary telling you about how he'll train ya.

Well I don't need a VFR1200, but I could really do with some track training... :scooter:
