1997 Suzuki Bandit $5000ono

Keen to swap for another bike of lesser value + cash. Anything 250cc considered (something in good nick and easy to ride (im a learner girl rider)

I have owned her for around 3 months and love her to bits. Never misses a beat, starts first time everytime, doesnt smoke. Has around 6000ks on the clock. Just put 3 months Rego on her, WOF comes up in March.

As I havent been riding for long Im not sure what other details anyone would want to know, I bought her from TSS Redbaron in Lower Hutt (they rock!) and the only thing they mentioned is that the speedo was replaced when the bike came into the country, so K's reading is not 100% accurate, and they did not have the old amount of Ks at all. Also under "engine type" Iv put single, as I dont know any better....?

I will try to answer any questions as best I can, again learner rider/new to the bike world so sorry if I cannot answer. Best course of action if you are interested is to come out and have a look/ride.

I personally would say that this is more of a 'dealers' price, than a private one. Didn't you say that the k's are unknown and that you just have a 2nd hand odometer etc put on?

But someone maybe prepared to pay it? Others will give their opinions anyway.

Yeah new odometer was put on before I bought it from TSS in Lower Hutt.

I put ono as Im not really sure wat a reasonable price I should expect someone to pay is! Id probably take $4000 if I was offered but im in no hurry to sell it (dont want to sell! :()

Yea i asked Trademe to change it because i didnt see the "Sports" section (blonde much>!) and they said they didnt understand and I would have to withdraw it and relist it again.... so I just left it lol

I actually know/have ridden this bike, and it's a real tidy little rocket.

(or at least was a year or so ago)

Has the variable valve engine. At $3-3500, it's not a bad buy.

And cheers for the props Stig! Its been sitting at the dealer for just over a year I thik, before I bought it anyways, so its had nothing but routine servicing and rides. Itd probably be in the same condition as when you rode it :)

bugger.... Looks like my 1984XJ 550 is going to be written off. I was looking for a bandit to replace it... (taken out by a hit and run driver - But I got the buggers rego and now the cops are going to hang him)
