I have the Sidi Vertigo Mega Gore-Tex which is known as a "EE" fitment meaning in this case more room around the ankle and a wider foot. The operative word here is "Mega", this is denoting the wider fit where as the rest of the range are pretty average for width.

Well, what a coincidence. I was just trying on boots yesterday and 2 of the pairs happened to be Sidi. But first things first...size 50!!!:gob: That's friggin HUGE!

So the boots, I have wide feet and found I had to go up a size for both the Sidi's I tried on B-2's and the...umm...rain ones. Can't remember there names.

I also needed to go up a size for a couple of Alpinestars I tried on and they were slightly roomier around the middle.

So far I've found TCX boots to be the widest and I'm more than likely going to get a pair.

Of course, the different models offer different flexibility through the middle depending on the protection they offer. The high end boots in each makers range (race style) will have less flex through the middle.

So it really depends having much of a paddle you have for a foot ;)

Size 50....:shit:

Really?

Without question the nicest boots I looked at, but unfortunately didn't fit.

I ended up with the Sidi Vertigo Mega like NZSarge, but I preferred the StylSafe:yes:

How do the stylmartin compare to Sidi as far as a boot goes?

Do you have a link for the Stylsafe's, had a look on their website but couldnt find them?

Stylmartin have some really nice kit. My original Stormy's lasted years.

I had trouble finding the StylSafe online 3 years ago, but the shop was able to procure them overnight to try. Keep in mind they're more of a touring boot, but very nice indeed and retailed about $450. My Sidi's are nice also, but I've had issues with parts working loose and they're more expensive.
