Let's put it in this way, it is enough to think that I want to turn left or right and she can read my mind. I tried the MVAgusta 1000 and the Ducati 999, as well. Great bikes, but the Aprilia was 'the one'... Riding the Aprilia generates serious plasure...second only to the 'main one'...

RSV factory, 999, you sound like me in a few years time, or now in a dream...

If I can be talking about them in such an of-hand manner in a few years, I'll be fine with that... :niceone:

Well, it is not as quick as the jap's equivalent 4 cylinders.
Top speed is about 280km/h (quick enough for me).
Anyway speed is not important for me, especially in NZ where roads don't tend to be straight and wide. Handling is the most import factor IMHO.

I had to sacrifice my KTM 520 and get rid of my Honda 1000RR in order to have enough money to get her. It has not been easy...but hey, we live only once...

I like a 999 more but it is not about me or any one else it what you will enjoy so well done. Just one little note dont be like me and take it easy ride it hard from the start. (Took it easy on my 749 and someone rode into back of it 500 meters from the shop)

Yep, you are right. It is not a question of money, speed, shape, etc... I just felt my heart beat syncronized with her 'beat' while I was riding her. A feeling that is very difficult to explain. I ride my bikes every single day (through the rainy, sunny snowy, foggy days). I love riding bikes.
The 999 is a great bike (although I prefer the 998), but there was not the 'click' between us...
I hope I am not going to have my next 'click' with a 'Vespa'... That probably would be a serious issue. ;-)
I would like to have some advises about how to get the best 'running in'. I heard so many different opinions.

So what sort of deal did the shop come up with where you traded two bikes for one? A 2004 Aprilia (brand new) is currently available for $28K
http://www.bikepoint.co.nz/DesktopDefault.aspx?UsedBikeID=935297&TabID=3553&Alias=bikepointnz
Did the shop cut you sharp deal on the Aprilia due to your CBR? I'm guessing its a 2004, so is a superseded model and they would be keen to shift it anyway. What year was your 520? Was it a EXC? Guess if your happy with the deal, thats the main thing but doesnt look if they did you any real favours, huh? I thought you werent happy with the way the bike shop treated you?
