Hey all, not been on here for ages and tuning in to get rid of my race bike is I guess the final story on my racing but she has to go....

If anyone is interested in my 2008 Yamaha R6 race bike please get in touch.

Not been ridden for a while and its not in race ready condition as it needs a fairing and some minor work (ie. right side footrest hanger, new bar tube and other tidying up).

All the important stuff is on board as used by me to win the 2008/9 AMCC Formula 1 and 2 titles and run a 59.3 lap at Pukekohe in the TT meeting.

The bike is top spec and was built from new by Dave Cole with-

Full CKT supplied and updated (2009) 25 mm ohlins front fork cartridge kits
Ohllins TTX rear unit
Ohlins steering damper
Yamaha kit ECU
Dynojet Powercommander
Yamaha Kit wiring loom
Full Dave Cole blueprinted, prepped and dyno set up motor
Graves Full works Titanium system
Graves clip ons
range of sprockets with race chain etc etc

The bike can be supplied with the complete road kit which has never been used at all including everything such as new road chain, full fairing, wiring loom etc etc.

Spare wheels and some tyres are with the bike plus some damaged fairings

I have simply lost the interest for now and the bike has sat in my garage for too long, it will take little (less than a days work) to get it race ready and back to a front running package.

Realistically the bike needs about $2000 thrown at it to be back to perfect and at the moment I don't have the time or enthusiasm to sort it out.....

Give me a call if your interested 021 831 581 and we can talk a price but it has to go before i'm tempted to race it again.

Cheers

Brian Wood

Ta for the texts and to clarify a price and save me answering the same every time its for sale a the mo while i try and convince Mrs Wood that an old git (41 today) should still be out there after 16 years of racing......

Its a crashed bike for sure but it needs a bodykit and some parts to get back on track. I've roughly priced the bits needed at about 2-2.5K max.

Take it away as it with all the brand new never turn a Km road bits and spare wheels for NZ$11000 and make Mrs Wood a happy bunny.

Biggles............you're not helping.......:shutup::facepalm:

It managed a 59.3 at Pukekohe in 2009 with an old slow pom like me on board and is a potential National front runner with someone decent riding it........:woohoo:
