My FXR now has a standard carb and airbox which is making it beautiful to ride (no pain in hand anymore) and smooth throttle action.
Sure I have lost a bit of top end power but it revs faster, however it stalls instead of idling ATM. Will get Malcolm to help adjust the idle, however I just have a couple of questions that you guys may be able to help with:
1) The bike has a noticeable flat spot between 6-8rpm's - is this normal with a standard carb? If not, what should I be checking?
2) As the idle needs adjustment anyway, can anyone tell me if it would be worthwhile setting the idle a bit higher to assist me round Taupo? Has anyone actually done this with there FXR for a 'big track'?!
For all of you that thought my bike was to quiet before, you can hardly hear it at all now so I can come flying past you (yeah right) before you even know I am there!
Bring on TRRS - Which of you Wellingtonians are coming?
