"Waterproof" Gloves

Hey Guys and Gals.

I need a quick solution for my so called "waterproof" leather gloves. :facepalm:

Aucklanders will be aware of the rain this morning...as always I went to work on my bike! lovely conditions for it. lol

Anyway my gloves are soaked and i'm trying to find a way to dry them off as much as possible before I head home.

They are leather outer so don't wanna blast them with too much heat...

Any ideas guys??

I have my gloves sitting in front of my desk lamp to dry.

it depends where the leaked, was it the leather or was it due to your riding position and the water running down your arm and into you glove from the top. The main problem of most sports bike riders

If you don't want to put another glove over top I recommend Bone-Dry

I have all my gear done with this and is brillient stuff... handle the west coast rain easily enough...

However if it is just running down your arms and into the top of your glove then the rain off option may help

Carry a 2nd pair and get some gloves that might keep rain out (although yer hands will cook in them).

thanks for that. I'm on a Vl250 cruiser atm...so not full on sports bike style. But it was the rain coming in from the leather as I had my gloves inside my jacket.

Had my gloves under a desk fan for 4 hours and they're dry now. Of course my fingers are stained black by them, but oh well. It's my cordura pants I'm worried about, they're never going to dry and I'm not looking forward to putting those back on tonight...

ewww- wet gloves and wet cordura. You know, some folk pay a lot of money to wear stuff like that.

Good ol' newspaper stuffed in the appropriate orifices of said wet garments and changed several time during the day goes a long way to soaking up the worst of the soggyness. Ask your friendly newspaper salesperson for a few old papers, they will have them lying around and should be pleased to get rid of the wretched things.

Thanks for that...I have stuck with the newspaper idea for the meantime...seems to be working until I get showered on whilst riding home.

Will be putting them in the hot water cupboard when I get home I think in the attempt to dry them off before the commute again tomorrow morning.

If your office is old school and is still rocking crt monitors, place your gloves and helmet on top of one that will get used all day.

The heat is gentle enough that it wont ruin your gear but it will nicely warm it for you and dry it pretty well.

Combine this with the previously mentioned newspaper and your away laughing.

When you say all your gear do you mean your leather jacket and pants are water proof as well? or just gloves and boots. Sounds good stuff anyway, might try that myself.
